Japan’s Suntory Holdings Limited is introducing PET bottles made from used cooking oil. This innovation is said to mark the first commercialized use of bio-paraxylene in PET bottle production and reduce CO2 emissions. Innova Market Insights data indicates that global snack launches increased by 3% from July 2019 to June 2024. The leading region for these launches was Asia. Snack nuts & seeds were the leading subcategory, but popcorn grew the fastest. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has raised concerns over the third iteration of a “non-paper” set to shape the world’s first comprehensive treaty to end plastic pollution, released for the Fifth Session of the UN Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee in South Korea. Halloween Trends Unwrapped! 🎃 Innova Market Insights data indicate an increase in Halloween-themed product launches. From July 2023 to June 2024, 57% of these launches were in Confectionery, but there is a steep growth in Halloween-themed Cereal launches.
