From poverty to executive: the Alloysius (AJ) Lloyd story

Alloysius (AJ) Lloyd is a young black millennial executive running an 8 figure business focused on innovative technology, helping the environment, and helping marginalized individuals.

A personal understanding of the necessity to help others

As a major force for the Regenerative Development Movement, as the co-founder of Kiji Ventures, and as a part of an exclusive group of international entrepreneurs & investors, Lloyd has many paths to make a difference.

Lloyd, however, was not born into wealth or opportunity as he had to create it himself. Lloyd was born to a single mother in the DC-Maryland area of the United States of America. Having grown up in poverty, Lloyd has a personal understanding of the necessity to help others. Lloyd also knows how quickly people can excel once given the opportunity and resources to.

This understanding, and his childhood experiences, is partially why Lloyd is committed to exclusively investing in companies with female founders, particularly females of color, for the next 12 months.

As a leader in the Regenerative Development Movement, Lloyd is intent on achieving all the goals that the Sustainable Development Movement was unable to. Further, Lloyd believes that, with the Regenerative Development Movement, not only can he achieve what the Sustainable Development Movement could not, but he also believes that he can be far more ambitious than the Sustainable Development Movement could ever dream of when it comes to making a positive change in this world.

As an objective measure of his impact and influence, Lloyd was recently venerated as one of the top 100 voices in the regenerative development movement for the work that he does with Kiji Ventures sitting at the intersection of finance, technology, art, freedom, and environmental preservation. Recently, Lloyd was also venerated by UNICEF and Gucci for this work, alongside Wilson Oryema.

Utilize his cultural cache to make a difference

Of course, beyond his formal work in the Regenerative Development Movement and with Kiji Ventures, Lloyd is connected to a plethora of important business and cultural leaders. Due to his international reach across Asia, Europe, and the United States, Lloyd has the network and the ability to raise awareness and facilitate impactful projects.

To this point, Lloyd decided to utilize his cultural cache to make a difference. Lloyd recently became one of the only black owners of an original Warhol, alongside Jay Z, Swizz Beatz, & a few other individuals. Lloyd plans to use this acquisition to not only inspire individuals who may have also grown up in similar conditions to Lloyd, but also to create opportunities for them. Lloyd wants to work with various brands and even the Warhol Foundation to curate a NFT project for the original artwork in order to create digital value to benefit marginalized children.

With so much planned for 2022, we are curious to see what Lloyd does next.
