After hitting development limitations in PowerApps, our partner Godig moved their solution over to Appfarm Create when developing a new application for their customer, Skanska. This solution later won the Innovation Award, and has become a core digital tool for tunnel construction operations at Skanska. There is an increasing demand for digitalization within the legal sector in order for law firms to remain competitive and meet client expectations for the customer journey. At Appfarm, we have developed several custom applications for various needs within this sector, and yesterday we showcased some of them at our partner Frend Digital’s breakfast seminar on legal tech and AI. This is an interesting and growing topic that we encounter often, and it was great to showcase how AI and no-code can fill the technology gap within legal work procedures. Thanks for having us! We had a great time at Simonsen Vogt Wiig’s annual hackathon yesterday, where they had invited law students to come up with ideas for a digital solutions and develop them in only five hours!  This year, the hackathon was arranged in collaboration with INNORETT, and the development platform was Appfarm. Together with our partner Frend Digital, we got to provide technical assistance on the platform and see all the innovative solutions the students created. These ideas will drive inspiration for Simonsen Vogt Wiig on digital solutions that are lacking within the legal sector today, and can be implemented in a very short time, using no-code! Jeg elsker Excel og regneark som verktøy, og det er selvfølgelig helt uunnværlig i min jobb som CFO i Appfarm. Derfor gleder jeg meg over DNs tosiders hyllest i forkant av 40-årsjubileet neste år i dagens lørdagsutgave: "= SUCCESS. Hvordan Excel ble en hjørnestein i verdensøkonomien." https://lnkd.in/dGGUS7mu Likevel er det tankevekkende at bedrifter i så stor grad fortsatt lener seg (ofte utelukkende) på regneark i noen av sine mest kritiske prosesser. Det er mange eksempler på slike prosesser og regneark som egner seg enda bedre i systemform, spesielt i tilfeller der flere personer / funksjoner samarbeider om data i en eller annen flyt, og kanskje i tillegg trenger integrasjon mot andre systemer i virksomheten. Mange av disse filene er tett integrert med hverandre, slik at systemene faller sammen dersom programmet slutter å operere. Å erstatte systemene ville kreve ufattelig mye arbeid. Et tegn på hvor ufattelig viktig Excel er for verdens verdiskaping, er hvor forsiktige Microsoft er med å rette tidligere feil. Da programvaren ble lansert, var året 1900 feilaktig notert som et skuddår. Feilen får ingen konsekvenser for tidsserier etter år 1900, men slår ut feil bakover. Dersom Microsoft skulle endret feilen i en fremtidig oppdatering, ville det derimot justert datoene i alle verdens Excel-ark ned med én dag. The NoCode Summit is the largest arena in Europe where no-code tools, platforms, and technologies get to connect with the european no-code community. This year, we also saw an increasing amount of enterprise and business participants with concrete use cases, who were looking for robust enterprise tools that could help scale their operations. This is a fantastic development, and we had a great time showcasing the possibilities no-code provides within this segment. We also wish to thank our partners who participated in the event with us, Zebra Consulting, Braver and ControlC, and Clémentine Venck who presented Cocottes & Co’s award-winning Appfarm solution with ControlC.
