As we approach our highly anticipated event, "Profit Has No Gender: Invest in Women Impactors, Accelerate Your Growth" during Oslo Innovation Week 2024, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shown their support so far! Before we gather for this impactful event, we’d like to introduce the visionary at the heart of Coral Swans International—our beloved Founder and CEO, Prasantha Devulapalli. Prasantha is all about empowering impact entrepreneurs, particularly women, and supporting marginalised communities. She founded Coral Swans to implement innovative and inclusive initiatives that drive positive social and environmental impact, all while advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. With leadership roles at Norfund, NAV, and in the Norwegian government and healthcare sectors, Prasantha brings over 25 years of experience, now channelled into meaningful action. Having lived in different parts of the world, her global experience shaped her approach to leadership, fostering a deep understanding of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. This perspective drives her commitment to empowering underrepresented communities in Norway and beyond through Coral Swans International. Under her leadership, the organisation has built international partnerships and launched some really impactful programmes, like Blaze the Trail, which gives women impact entrepreneurs the support they need—whether it’s funding, training, or networking. Prasantha is also the co-founder of the Actually I Can Foundation, along with her daughter, where they champion the voices of the chronically ill, disabled, and caregivers, reinforcing her commitment to inclusion. Another powerhouse from our 2024 Blaze the Trail microgrant pool! Meet Dynamic Mindset, founded by Mona Johansson, a psychology enthusiast and life coach. Mona’s personal growth journey has shaped her mission to empower women, particularly skilled female migrant workers, to lead fulfilling and successful lives. The Phenix Project at Dynamic Mindset is dedicated to helping female leaders live authentically through coaching and educational services. By building a strong community that champions gender equality and includes male allies, the project creates an inclusive space where diverse voices are uplifted. Empowering women, especially skilled female migrant workers, is essential not just for gender equality but also for economic growth. When supported, these women open up significant opportunities: research shows that closing gender gaps could boost Europe's economy by €150-280 billion by 2030 and up to €1.49 trillion by 2050 (EIGE). In 2019 alone, immigrants contributed over €22 billion to the European economy (Migration Policy Institute). The Phenix Project seeks to unlock this potential, benefiting families, communities, and the broader economy. By investing in their success, the project paves the way for a more equitable and thriving future for all. Mona draws on her expertise in psychology, neuroscience, and her experiences in male-dominated industries across cultural settings. This, combined with her personal development journey, uniquely equips her to support skilled women from immigrant backgrounds in achieving leadership roles. Partnering with Sara Shadabi, an expert in emotions and immigrant education, Dynamic Mindset focuses on empowering female migrant workers, recognizing their potential to enrich workplace diversity and drive success. We’re proud to present another standout project from our Blaze the Trail 2024 microgrant application pool, one of our winners—ABC Consulting, and their pioneering initiative, Breaking Barriers: AI-Assisted Coaching to Foster Gender Equity in STEM, led by the inspiring Dr. Ayse Basak Cinar (Lowe)! This innovative initiative directly addresses the gender disparities in STEM fields, where women often face barriers like discrimination and limited leadership opportunities. Using AI-assisted coaching, the project aims to break down these barriers by providing tailored mentorship to enhance emotional intelligence, resilience, and leadership skills. The goal is to equip women with the tools needed to excel and thrive in male-dominated STEM environments. Dr. Cinar, a former academic and award-winning coach, brings over 15 years of expertise and 30,000 hours of leadership coaching to this project. By blending AI with human coaching, she creates a first-of-its-kind approach that combines both creative and analytical thinking, empowering women to develop confidence and break through the "glass ceiling." The project, in collaboration with McGill University and Dr. Stephanie Bilodeau, not only focuses on individual development but also promotes systemic change, aiming to create a scalable, global model for advancing women’s leadership in STEM. Through these efforts, ABC Consulting seeks to foster diversity, inclusion, and gender equity in the tech and science sectors.
