With the recent implementation of the EU AI Act, the demand for trustworthy AI solutions is set to increase significantly. Therefore, it is particularly interesting that DNV Venture now is investing in a company that is already leading in providing a solution to this, says Kaare Helle, Venture Director in DNV Ventures. By combining DNV’s extensive experience in assurance with 2021.AI’s GRACE AI platform, the partnership aims to provide a comprehensive solution to these needs. 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗱 The ocean is one of the largest ecosystems on Earth. With an expected nine-fold increase in offshore activities, the ocean will provide humans with even more ecosystem services in the future. At the same time, the oceans are facing a complex crisis due to human activities. The expected increase in offshore activities raises the need for sustainable use of the ocean resources. 🌊 All offshore structures experience rough conditions due to wind, waves and currents. Furthermore, bottom-fixed structures experience issues with scour. DNV has challenged this year summer project students to look at the future solutions for scour protection where sustainability is included in all aspects of the value chain. 🚀 "Our solution is REEFence, a technical solution and a way of thinking. Building on current practices, REEFence is designed with nature in mind from the start. REEFence solves the technical issue with scouring, while also having a holistic sustainability approach including a circular perspective. 🌱 We would like to thank DNV for this amazing opportunity. Specifically, we want to thank Kristina Dahlberg and Tone Dale for facilitating this year's Summer Project. We have had a great summer where we’ve had the possibility to challenge ourselves in interdisciplinary teams with a real industry problem.
