🚀 ** P&O-Day ** 🚀 Last week, we hosted the People & Organization Day at BI, bringing together over 10 leading and unique companies for a day of insightful presentations, dynamic panel discussions, and valuable networking 🤩 The main goal of this day was to highlight the broad range of career opportunities and pathways available to our students in HR and organizational psychology — fields that are becoming increasingly important in both business and society! After months of planning and collaboration with the Association Board of HR, org.psych and leadership, we are proud to have delivered a meaningful experience for all attendees! A special thanks to our business relations managers, Thomas Slyngstad Klitzing and Ida Stavø, for outstanding work in coordinating company involvement 💼 We also appreciate the contributions of our guest speakers and panelists who shared their expertise on topics like the future of HR, AI’s impact on the workplace, critical thinking, and sustainable HR practices, offering students a broad perspective on the skills needed for the future 🤝 The LOP Board is proud of what we can accomplish together through collaboration with other associations, units, and companies. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this day a success!

  • We are so happy to welcome new students to campus after a relaxing summer break!🤩 LOP organized a meet up for all the new students at Hovedøya after their matriculation ceremony. BBQ and games were on the agenda and all the new students got the opportunity to get to know each other. Thank you our event manager Marie Dromnes for hosting the event. These events are crucial for breaking the ice and overcome social boundaries. The following week, LOP organized a Welcome Day for the new class of MSc students in Leadership and Organizational Psychology. Our academic relations manager, Ida Sandvik Knudsen hosted the day with 2nd year class representative and manager of the BI Master Chamber Pierre-André Sintes.🩵 We started the day with greetings from our Associate Dean Émilie Lapointe and several lecturers, whom all emphasized the importance of students sharing experiences and supporting one another. We also had the honor of receiving a motivational speech from adventurer Aleksander Gamme. He told us a story from his expedition to the South Pole, a long journey that demanded self-motivation and perseverance. Agnete Harper from BI Careers spoke to the students about how they can utilize the opportunities at BI to increase their employability and make conscious choices regarding their future careers. Ida and Pierre then held a session preparing the students for their first semester courses and the master in general. We talked about expectations, openness, class environment, and our best tips and tricks in how to succeed in your studies. 🎓 To finish off the day, we all went to dinner together to socialize and mingle. We want to thank everyone that contributed to making this day a success and useful for our new students, and the BI Integration Fund for supporting the event with funding!💙 Erik Platou Gjerstad Andrzej Owczarz Maria Myhre Thomas Slyngstad Klitzing Idunn Nilsen Fjermedal

  • Recently Aon Norway visited us at Handelshøyskolen BI. 2nd year master students from the MSc in Leadership & Organizational Psychology got certified in AON’s skills and ability tests. These are valuable skills within HRM and recruitment, and contributing to making our students attractive for future employers. We want to thank Mikkel Ophaug Stocker from AON for guiding us safely through the day! Thank you to BPA deputy manager Andrzej Owczarz and academic relations manager Ida Sandvik Knudsen for organizing the event.
