Surprising to some perhaps, Minuendo has been doing extremely exciting deep-tech chip research since 2020 together with Sintef MiNaLab. Last week Minuendo's Olav Kvaløy and Tom Alexander Trones visited SINTEF's Runar Dahl-Hansen and Firehun Tsige Dullo for a tour of the impressive production facilities. Thank you to Norges forskningsråd for funding this groundbreaking technology!
In the PiCoVatt project, Minuendo has teamed up with Sintef MiNaLab to create new technology. This week the project team had the pleasure to visit MiNaLab. We even got a tour into the most sacred, the production labs. This is a clean environment with the highest standards. The project is founded by NFR and we have developed a PiezoMEMS chip that could make Minuendos hearing protection even more advanced in the future. The chip can represent a variable attenuation in an earplug. In this way a future earplug from Minuendo could adjust the attenuation depending of the surroundings. In addition, the PiezoMEMS chip has both loudspeaker and microphone functionalities! A true All-In-One solution, patented of course. I find it most inspiring and interesting to see where progress is made. (Pictures: William Husby Hoven / SINTEF)
