📰 In a recent column in Dagsavisen (https://lnkd.in/dKu_pk6u), I challenged the negative perceptions surrounding hydrogen. Let's debunk the myths: hydrogen, when managed with proper expertise, is as safe as any conventional energy source.
💡 Hydrogen is crucial for achieving a sustainable energy transition, capable of being produced and used with little or no direct CO2 emissions. However, there's a significant expertise gap in Norwegian industries, particularly in sectors like steel, glass, and maritime applications, that must be addressed.
👨🏫 At NTNU, we are preparing the future workforce through specialized programs like the international master's HySET - Hydrogen Systems and Enabling Technologies, along with other master's courses focusing on hydrogen. We are also educating about 30 PhD, equipping them to safely implement hydrogen solutions in various industries.
💪 By investing in hydrogen education and technology, we are not only supporting our industries but also contributing positively to climate action. Let’s advance this conversation and support hydrogen’s integral role in our energy future.
