We are thrilled to have recently delivered a comprehensive Pipeline Integrity Management (PIMS) training course for Tengizchevroil (TCO) led by Gaffar Mirzoev, Head of Business Field - Integrity Solutions at ROSEN Europe. The participants dove deep into critical areas such as #integritymanagement principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices for ensuring pipeline safety. A special highlight of the course was the Defect Assessment session, led by Paul Bailes, which provided hands-on insights that TCO's team can now apply directly to their asset management strategies. A lack of clean water and an altered ecosystem are leading to a loss of habitat for more and more native animals. This is precisely what our colleagues in Mexico have been dealing with recently. In Xochimilco in Mexico City, the so-called “Chinampa” are particularly affected. These small, artificial islands were built in freshwater lakes for agricultural purposes and provide a habitat for the axolotl. Unfortunately, the Chinampa are increasingly falling into disrepair, which is also significantly changing the axolotl's habitat. The local population wanted to counteract this and informed our colleagues about how the ecosystem could be preserved. Of course, our team was eager to help right away. There is also an ecological imbalance in the Mandinga Lagoon in Veracruz that threatens both native and migratory species. Similar to Xochimilco, local people are already taking various actions to preserve the lagoon and its ecosystem. During a canoe tour through the lagoon, our colleagues were able to experience this firsthand.  With these and many other actions, our team in Mexico is not only raising awareness of these issues but also encouraging continued commitment to our #environment.
