Excited to share that our work for Stavanger Glød has been nominated in Visuelt, Norway's largest award show for visual communication! But that's not all – we've also received two shortlists in this year's Creative Circle Awards, the most coveted honour in advertising, design, and digital creativity in Denmark. Again, a huge shoutout to Lasse Korsgaard and our incredible client Glød (Stian Steen-Forgaard, Claus Petersen) for their collaboration. We are super proud and can't wait for the start of June for the European Design Awards, Grafill Visuelt, and Creative Circle Awards.

C is for Collaboration and Camilla (and everyone else, too). We keep one foot in the corporate world and the other in creative chaos—because playing both sides keeps us sharp. It pushes us (and our collaborators) to think bigger, go further, and make work that matters. That’s why Collaboration (C) is key and a core pillar of our ABCD Model (more on that later—bet you’re excited). So when Camilla Rosenlund asked us to create the cover for her album, we didn’t just stop there. We built a visual universe around her new album When The Seasons Changed—because good visuals don’t just sit there looking pretty. They expand the music. They turn sound into something you can see, feel, and hold. We crafted a full suite of visuals—vinyl covers, digital singles, motion graphics, posters, and tote bags—each designed to capture the softness, warmth, and quiet ambivalence of her sound. A balance between the systematic and the organic. Structured grids meeting the rawness of life. The blur between beauty and sorrow, just like the shifting seasons in her music. What makes a brand identity truly last? Another year, another glowing success with Glød Light Festival—and another year of seeing how a strong, flexible identity stands the test of time. A lasting brand isn’t just about a logo or a colour palette—it’s about building a system that can adapt without losing its essence. Here’s how we make that happen: ◗ Keep the essence, evolve the expression. The best brands don’t stay static—they adapt over time while keeping their core intact. That might mean refreshing color palettes, evolving messaging, or adjusting design for new formats—but always staying recognizable. ◗ Define the fixed vs. the flexible. A strong identity is not rigid—it’s designed for longevity. Logos, typography, and key brand elements act as anchors, while colors, layouts, and campaign visuals can flex to fit new contexts. ◗ Build on strategy, not fleeting trends. A brand that lasts isn’t built on what’s hot right now—it’s anchored in a concept and strategy that will stand the test of time. Trends can be applied within the system, but the foundation must be built to last. That approach gave us the perfect framework to craft new materials for this year’s festival while keeping everything visually consistent. As Glød evolves, so does its identity—this year, the content and artwork took center stage, with the design flexing to support it.That’s exactly how we like to work—creating adaptable identities that grow with our clients. At the heart of Ry’s identity is an illustration style designed to add humor and playfulness through bold colours, contrasting the venue's refined and polished interior. The pixelated touch brings a charming unity, inviting spontaneity and creativity. In fact, everyone is encouraged to contribute their own sketches and drawings, keeping the identity fresh and inclusive. When we started our studio, our vision was clear: to build brands with sincerity, making a real impact for our clients and everyone who interacts with them. We set out to create work that’s fun, stands out, and resonates. With European, National, and local awards and nominations piling up, it’s looking like we’re doing just that. Last Friday, we took Gold, Silver, and Bronze in Graphic Design Identity (yes, we swept that category!) plus Gold in Digital Design, Silver in Logo, and Bronze in Print at Sterk Reklame—the top competition in Stavanger’s ad and design scene. I dag har Grafill Bergen gleden av å ha Studio Blunt på besøk med foredraget "Trust me, I don't know what I'm doing" Studio Blunt er et relativt nytt, skandinavisk brand studio basert i Stavanger. "Trust me, I don't know what I'm doing" er en ærlig innrømmelse av at Studio Blunt, helt fra starten, har kastet seg ut i ukjente og tidvis skremmende prosjekter. Som å starte et studio med mennesker som aldri har jobbet sammen før, eksperimentere med ny teknologi, utvikle grafiske verktøy, og si ja til prosjekter vi egentlig ikke visste om vi kunne gjennomføre. Men med en sterk tro på at det alltid vil ordne seg til slutt. Studio Blunt vil dele sine erfaringer og vise litt av hvordan de jobber med kreativ koding, animasjon og design. Our mission is to craft brand identities that are unique, personal, and connects to their audience. When we partnered with What’s Brewing, the legendary craft beer festival, our goal was to capture the quirky, cult-like energy of the event and channel it into a visual identity that felt both bold and inviting. As Andreas Melvaer, one of the founders of What’s Brewing, put it: "Working with Studio Blunt on What's Brewing was an absolute breeze. They totally got the vibe we were going for and nailed the concept in a way that made it possible for us to create all the collateral we needed. Their creativity and pragmatism made the whole process a joy, and the final result was picked up by the press. I fucking loved it. Best Blunt Ever." We love collaborating with visionary clients like What's Brewing to create work that not only stands out but truly connects with people. In this case, blending technology, humour, and human touch into a design that reflected the spirit of the festival was key—and that’s what we strive for in every project. Ok! So this is (probably) the final post about Glød being nominated for an award. But this is a big one. The D&AD awards are recognised globally as the ultimate creative accolade, entered and attended by the best from around the world... We couldn’t be more stoked that our work for Glød has been shortlisted. Just being shortlisted feels like a huge honour.
