🎉 Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University to Forskningsparken - Oslo Science Park! Some of these talented students had participated in our successful HealthHACK event back in March. During their visit, they had the opportunity to attend inspiring company presentations by Dr Nanda Tarte from Alv B AS and Rianne Harmsen from GE HealthCare. Our Interim CEO, Delphine Costa, shared insights about The Life Science Cluster, and Anne-Marie Korseberg Stokke gave an overview of Forskningsparken and the ecosystem here. The students also enjoyed a guided tour, with visits to Startuplab hosted by Henock Sintaye Abeba, ShareLab with Mathea Roti Egli, and Aksel Tunold at Aleap. The day wrapped up with pizza, networking, and some great conversations! A special thanks to the students for their engagement and curiosity, and Kristine Andreassen and Thea Ørneseidet for making this evening possible. 🌍 Strengthening Nordic Collaboration for Startups The new NordForsk report, "𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘤 𝘈𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳-𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘰-𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯", makes one key recommendation: 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨-𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Life Science Academy for Startups (LSA) is a prime example of how working across borders can enhance support for startups in the life science sector. 🤝 LSA is benchmarking the methodology for supporting startups by connecting Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. 💥 Yesterday, we kicked off an exciting collaboration at Forskningsparken - Oslo Science Park with Kongshavn vgs and their new #Real8slo program! This initiative gives pupils a fantastic chance to immerse themselves in life sciences early on, and we at The Life Science Cluster are thrilled to be collaborating with them to bridge the gap between education and industry. "ADCs are constructed to bring the chemotherapy to the cancer cells and leave healthy cells unharmed. The problem is, we do not know which patients to treat," says Anette Weyergang, CEO and founder of the Norwegian start-up RAB Diagnostics. RAB Diagnostics is developing a tool to identify which patients benefit from a combined treatment of chemotherapy and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). The commercial opportunity for these diagnostic tests is on the rise, as personalised cancer medicine and different combination treatments are becoming the future of cancer care.
