Get in the loop! Reverse vending solutions for Clean Loop Recycling of drink containers. #LeadingTheResourceRevolution

Om oss

Get in the loop! It's the more rewarding way to recycle. TOMRA Collection provides reverse vending machines for Clean Loop Recycling, to transform society’s habits and keep valuable resources in a continuous loop of use and reuse. The company’s solutions collect aluminum, plastic and glass beverage containers to be continually reused and recycled back into new bottles and cans, particularly in regions with deposit return schemes. With approximately 85,000 installations across more than 60 markets, TOMRA reverse vending machines capture over 46 billion used bottles and cans each year. This reduces reliance on raw materials, and ensures fewer containers end up in our streets, oceans and landfills. TOMRA’s reverse vending machines, digital solutions and service make recycling easy for the industry, system owners, retailers and consumers to contribute to a world without waste. Visit our Reverse Vending pages on tomra.com/collection.    TOMRA Collection is a division of TOMRA Group. Today, TOMRA is Leading the Resource Revolution to transform how the planet’s resources are obtained, used and reused. The company’s other business divisions comprise TOMRA Food and TOMRA Recycling. The Group employs over 5,300 people globally and is publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Meet Silje Dale Narum, affectionately nicknamed “professional bottle picker-upper” by her kids. At TOMRA our people share our vision of Leading the Resource Revolution and are passionate about driving change. Silje shares how this passion led her to working at TOMRA, in this awesome new video! 🙌 Each year, 1.4 trillion beverage containers are used around the world, representing a vast amount of material that can be collected and reused or recycled. If this is done in the right way, we can help protect our planet by minimizing plastic pollution and litter, conserving precious resources like energy and water, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. ♻️ 🌎 #WeAreTOMRA #TOMRApassion

Today is World Cleanup Day, so we're shining a light on plastic pollution. It affects every corner of our planet. As the numbers in these slides remind us, many beaches are still littered with plastic. 💡 At TOMRA, we’re committed to making a difference, not just by advocating for stronger policies or providing technology to help capture packaging waste before it reaches nature, but by actively participating in local cleanup efforts too. Earlier this month, we invited you to join us, and we’d love to hear how it’s going! Share your progress by tagging us in your photos. 📷 While cleanups do genuinely help, the real solution lies in stopping plastic waste at its source. 💪 That’s why the UN’s global plastics treaty is so important. This legally binding international agreement aims to tackle plastic pollution through global cooperation and stringent regulations. It’s the comprehensive approach we need - not just to keep our beaches clean, but to protect our entire environment from the harmful effects of plastic. Read more about our recommendations for this treaty here: https://lnkd.in/dsxPnh5c Together, we can push for the changes needed to stop plastic pollution at its source. #PreventPlasticPollution #CircularEconomy #GlobalPlasticsTreaty #CleanUp #CleanUpMonth #CleanUpDay

#Packaging 💡Bottle caps are among the top five items found at coastal cleanups, but consumers in Europe are seeing a difference in drink packaging design, aimed at changing all that. As of July 2024, the EU's Single-Use Plastics Directive now requires that single-use beverage containers under 3 liters have caps that stay attached during use and storage. This small change makes a big difference, ensuring that bottle caps are easier to recycle. 🧴 Designed to reduce litter: Bottle caps are one of the most common litter items. Tethered bottle caps help prevent them from becoming litter, keeping our beaches and communities cleaner. 🐬 Protecting marine wildlife: Loose plastic caps pose a serious risk to marine life. By keeping them connected to bottles, we help ensure they don’t end up in the ocean, protecting our precious marine ecosystems. ♻️ Circular economy in action: True circularity in plastics starts with smart design. When products are made to be easily collected, sorted, and recycled, we’re taking meaningful steps toward a more sustainable, circular future. TOMRA is also committed to design-for-recycling principles. Curious to learn more about circular design? #DepositHeroes ♻️🦸 Until October, recyclers in New South Wales, Australia, can donate the deposit refunds from their cans and bottles to the Little Wings Ltd charity, to help support country kids access life-saving treatments in the city. 💚   Amarni was just five years old when she endured third-degree burns to her body, limbs and face. With the support of Little Wings, Amarni and her family have made numerous trips to Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney from her rural hometown to receive specialist medical treatments.   Little Wings supports hundreds of regional and remote families like Amarni every year, providing free flight and ground transport services for seriously ill and injured kids and their families to access the medical care they need.   With over AU$125,000 raised so far 👏🏽 we are now aiming to raise AU$175,000! Recyclers can simply press “donate” on the screen at their local TOMRA reverse vending machine or set Little Wings as their active payout in the Return and Earn app.   #ReturnAndEarn #LittleWings
