🚢 Celebrating the naming ceremony of NB 952 Norwind Helm!   VARD is proud to deliver the CSOV Norwind Helm to Norwind Offshore ahead of schedule! Named today in Ålesund, this vessel marks the fifth vessel delivered to Norwind Offshore, designed specifically for offshore wind support operations.   Built with VARD’s innovative VARD 4 19 design, Norwind Helm is a highly versatile platform for all offshore windfarm support operations, focusing on onboard logistics, security, comfort, and superior operability. She sets sail immediately, heading straight into operation.   Svein Leon Aure, CEO of Norwind Offshore, shared: “We are very pleased to take delivery of newbuild 952 from VARD, also delivered ahead of schedule. Recently, Vard Brattvaag had the pleasure of welcoming 60 eager students from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). 💡 Trine Nerem, Assistant Project Manager, and Line Snåsøy, HSEQ Coordinator, gave an inspiring introduction to our advanced shipbuilding and VARD’s mission to enable sustainable business at sea. The students' enthusiasm and curiosity brought great energy to the day, underscoring the value of fresh perspectives in our industry. Delivery of NB 945. 🎉 We are happy to announce that today, NB 945 Grampian Tweed was delivered from Vard Vung Tau to North Star. The delivery was before contractual delivery date.   This SOV is the last of four purpose designed and built ships destined for decade-long minimum charters to support operations and maintenance (O&M) work at the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm. Once the windfarm currently under construction is fully operational, the complete windfarm it will become the largest in the world, producing enough electricity to power six million British homes.   The vessel is based on the Vard 4 12 hull design and has been developed with North Star specifically to handle planned maintenance on the Dogger Bank A, B and C sites and tailored for effective and efficient operations in the harsh North Sea environment more than 130 kilometers off the north-east coast of England. Crew and client well-being is vital to ensure safe and efficient operations, with workflow, comfort and facilities on board a strong focus throughout the process.   Congratulations to all involved! #shipbuilding #offshorewind #doggerbank #oneteam #integratedvaluechain

What a wonderful picture from last week when our new CLV Freja was moved from the VARD Langsten covered enclosure to the outfitting quayside in preparation for mobilisation of the 10t SWL main crane and the final top mast section! We are planning sea trials for the vessel later this month, after which the final outfitting and commissioning activities will be completed. Thank you to VARD and our other valued suppliers, and thank you to our great NCT Offshore A/S teams working tirelessly on this new addition to the fleet!

🚢✨ Steel cutting ceremony for NB 969!   Yesterday marked a significant milestone at VARD shipyards Romania Braila, as we celebrated the steel cutting ceremony for the Cable Laying Vessel NB 969 for NKT.   NKT, a leader in high-quality power cable technology, has entrusted us with this project, and we’re proud to contribute to their mission of connecting a greener world. The hull will be constructed here in Romania, with outfitting scheduled at Vard Brattvaag, Norway.    The design of the vessel is by Salt Ship Design AS.   We look forward to this exciting journey ahead. We had the honor of welcoming the Italian Ambassador to Romania, Alfredo Durante Mangoni, to our VARD shipyards Romania, Tulcea, one of the country's largest and most strategic production facilities. 🇮🇹 The visit was attended by the Director of ICE Bucharest, Micaela Soldini, and the Council Member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania, Dragos Bostan, who were received by VARD’s SVP of HR & Organization, Salvatore Savinelli, the yard management, and representatives from FINCANTIERI.🤝 At the conclusion of the visit, the Ambassador expressed his high regard for the extraordinary technological capabilities of the VARD facility, a part of the Fincantieri Group, and its significant role in the economic and industrial development of the region.
