For more than 30 years, Viasat innovations have helped shape how consumers, businesses, governments, and militaries around the world communicate — bringing connectivity when, where, and how it’s needed most. Viasat focuses on the connections that matter as we deliver bold results for our customers, partners, and shareholders worldwide. We provide internet to communities and families in places around the world where cable or fiber isn’t available so they can learn, laugh, and live just like everyone else. We deliver secure, resilient connectivity services and solutions to our military and allies that give them the information dominance they need to bring warfighters home safely. We ensure people on-the-go have access to the same quality of internet in the air or at sea as they have at home. And we give businesses of all sizes the freedom to keep their people, places, and things secure and connected — wherever opportunity takes them.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! 🍃✔️🛰️ Adventurer Ash Dykes has successfully completed Uncharted: Suriname — a world-first expedition to travel the length of the Coppename River, Suriname, from source to sea. Ash and his team travelled 600km in 37 days through the depths of the rainforest, pulling 50kg kayaks and facing stings, bites, infections, dehydration, heat exhaustion, sleep deprivation, and starvation. Along the way, they stayed connected via our L-band #satellite connectivity and were able to post live updates to hundreds of thousands of followers around the world, in collaboration with our partner Globalsat Group. Ash also completed the journey in partnership with Free The Wild, a charity organisation working to overcome the mistreatment of wild animals. Ash said: "To Suriname and the people here who have made it so special, And finally to all of YOU for your support, I appreciate you all so much." Congratulations 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾 #ConnectedbyViasat #Adventurer #Amazon #Exploration #UnchartedSuriname

Earlier today Viasat’s John Reeves joined a live World Space Week Association panel session to discuss the value of our assets in space to provide a real-time view of the world and contribute to the overall monitoring and combating of climate change. From detecting where wildfires have the potential to start to the efficiency gains of connected platforms to reduce carbon emissions in industries such as aviation and maritime — there are so many things we don’t think of when it comes to satellites and climate change, he said. However, he warned that there needs to be a policy framework and agreement in place to support the sustainable use of space. This would allow us to continue delivering benefits to the climate, connect the unconnected, enable healthcare in remote areas, ensure economic inclusivity, and more. Find out why Viasat believes the space economy should be an inclusive one for all communities here: https://vsat.co/3Y7MfUa #WSW2024 #spacesustainability #climatechange

Meet System Design Engineer Thomas Murphy! From interning to leading digital design for phased array systems in Tempe, AZ, Thomas has evolved through several engineering roles. "The flexibility and willingness to help me explore different areas of our system has enabled me to quickly grow in the role I have today. This would not have been possible without all the opportunities Viasat provided to me early in my career.” At Viasat, we believe the career you start with, doesn’t need to be the one you end with. Viasat's Lucy Howard-Hudgell and Mahmud Khan attended a lively Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, UK this week to discuss issues such as the new Industrial Strategy and potential of dual-use space technologies. Special thanks to ADS Group Ltd, especially Kevin Craven and Lee Bruce, who organised an excellent discussion with the UK Minister for Defence Procurement and Industry, Maria Eagle, and a reception that included addresses from the Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey, and Alex Baker MP, who is the local MP for our Viasat Aldershot office. #labourconference #uk #spaceindustry

Viasat is excited to share it was awarded a $33.6 million contract from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory under the Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet (DEUCSI) program to develop AESA phased array antenna systems for tactical aircraft that can deliver greater flexibility and reliability to meet mission requirements and support demands for increased reliance. Under this award, Viasat will deliver a low size, weight and power (SWAP) AESA solution for resilient multi-band, multi-orbit and multi-network communications, which is central to supporting the government’s need for hybrid network capabilities.
