Securing power purchase agreements is a strong signal that a project is moving forward with confidence. As new offshore wind projects in markets like Germany and the Netherlands are being built without government support, signing PPAs can be key for the project to move ahead, and indicate confidence in a project from the developers. PPAs for offshore wind are on a rise and becoming more common, and to keep tabs, we have gathered past, ongoing and future PPAs announced for projects in one place. Watch the video for an inside look at how we present these insights to our subscribers. #OffshoreWind #OffshoreWindFarm #WindEnergy #PowerAgreements #ProjectDevelopment #RenewableEnergy #EnergyProjects #Sustainability #PPAs #CleanEnergy #EnergyIndustry

Swedish authorities have rejected 13 Baltic Sea offshore wind projects, citing risks linked to security threats and reaction time for the armed forces. Blocking the projects is a significant blow for the pipeline of future offshore wind development in Sweden, putting a hold on several projects backed by experienced developers. ➡ One project got the light however, the Poseidon project developed by Vattenfall and Zephyr, located off the west coast of Sweden. ➡ For more details and an overview of the projects: https://lnkd.in/dbPkXU5R
