Bandai Namco is rumoured be working on Metroid Prime 4 for Switch, according to reports. Earlier this week, Bandai Namco was reported to be working on Ridge Racer 8 and an unannounced first-person shooter game, both of which are Switch exclusives according to the resume of a Bandai Namco developer on LinkedIn. Now it looks like that FPS game might well be Metroid Prime 4, according to "multiple sources."

Eurogamer reports the rumour the game is in development at Bandai Namco has been verified by its sources, although the studio has made no official confirmation on the matter.

Metroid Prime 4 is apparently being worked on by Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, which Eurogamer says is the "lead studio on the game in collaboration with Nintendo." The game was confirmed as being in development since E3 last year, when Nintendo said a “talented new development team” was handling the project. The first-person adventure was pegged for a release “beyond 2017.”

A Bandai Namco representative responded to IGN's request for comment by saying Bandai Namco cannot confirm nor deny rumors or speculation about its products.
