The guarantee period begins from the transfer of risk. Claims can only be made against this voluntary guarantee on presentation of an invoice. The provision of guarantee services does not trigger an extension or restart of the guarantee period for the product.

If defects in the product resulting from material or manufacturing faults become apparent during the guarantee period, beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG will, at its own discretion, either repair the product without charging labour and material costs, replace the product itself or its defective parts free of charge or exchange it for an equivalent product. If the type of guarantee fulfilment we have chosen is not possible, we will reimburse you for the current value of the device in question. All replaced products and parts become the property of beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG.

The following are excluded from the guarantee:
• Insignificant defects or deviations in the quality of the product that are irrelevant to its value and intended use
• Accessories included with the product
• Rechargeable batteries and batteries (due to their nature, these products have a shorter lifespan, which also depends upon the frequency of use in each individual case)
• Headband pads, ear pads, wind shields and any other parts of the product that comes into direct contact with the body during use
• Errors resulting from improper use or misuse of the product (e.g. operating errors, mechanical damage, incorrect operating voltage) including, but not limited to, the use of the product for purposes other than its intended purpose
• Defects in the product resulting from non-observance of beyerdynamic’s instructions for use and maintenance
• Defects in the product caused by normal wear and tear
• Defects in the product caused by or relating to modifications made to the product, unless prior written consent from beyerdynamic has been given regarding the type and extent of the modification
• Defects in the product resulting from force majeure
• Defects in the product that you were already aware of when you purchased the product
• Defects in the product caused by the use of accessories or peripheral devices that are not original accessories developed for this product by beyerdynamic.
• We grant a limited guarantee period of three months on cables (fixed, detachable or as accessories) (cables have a shorter lifespan due to their nature, which depends on the frequency of use and mechanical stress in each individual case).



Changing or removing the nameplate or serial number attached to the product will void your right to claim under the guarantee. Furthermore, your right to claim under the guarantee will be rendered void if the product is tampered with by unauthorised persons or repair shops. You must obtain an RMA number before you can send us a defective product. Please note that any customer data stored on the products sent back to us will be promptly deleted.

The customer’s statutory warranty rights (in accordance with § 9) shall not be restricted by the provisions of this additional guarantee.

The limited guarantee can be claimed worldwide in all countries in which the respective national law does not conflict with these guarantee provisions. No other or more extensive claims than those described here can be made under the limited guarantee. In addition, as the end customer you may have legal rights in your country that are not limited by this limited guarantee. The limited guarantee does not limit your statutory rights or the consumer's rights against the retailer in connection with the purchase agreement.

THERE IS NO EXPRESS GUARANTEE, NEITHER WRITTEN NOR VERBAL, OTHER THAN THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE. ALL IMPLIED GUARANTEES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE APPLY FOR THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE ONLY. TO THE EXTENT AN EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY IS PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BEYERDYNAMIC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF REVENUE AND ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGES.

Some countries/states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of indirect or consequential damages or limitations on the length of implied guarantees. In this case, the above limitations and exclusions will not apply.
