🌍🌾 In September 2024, under the 𝐂𝐒𝐕 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐈𝐈 project supported by Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN), monthly meetings were held in communities like Ghimire Tole, Tapal Shrichaur, Kunekharka, and Patne Khola Cluster. These meetings, facilitated by ARD team member 𝐉𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐢, provided farmers with crucial updates on climate adaptation efforts such as shed improvements, plastic tunnels, mini-tillers, and sapling distributions. Discussions emphasized the importance of technical improvements for long-term sustainability and resilience. Between September 11 and 17, 2024, ARD successfully organized three one-day basic financial literacy trainings for women members affiliated with local cooperatives under the 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 project, supported by Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN). The trainings reached a total of 𝟕𝟏 participants across three groups: Shiva Bihani Women's Group, Phaphar Chaur Women's Group, and Sana Bhanjyang Women's Group. 🌐 While the world is rapidly advancing in Artificial Intelligence, rural women in Nepal are still grappling with basic digital skills like messaging, safely using social media, saving contacts, monitoring children's digital safety, and understanding online transactions and mobile banking. Recognizing this gap, we conducted a 2-day training on Digital Apps and Social Media for 20+ women in our cooperative. The training was led by facilitators Anusha Simkhada and Bidhya Neupane, who are also the co-founders of the initiative Digital Heroes. Project Launch in Rasuwa! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the "Enhancing Climate Resilience in Aamachhodingmo (ECRA)" project in the beautiful mountainous district of Rasuwa! This vital initiative, supported by Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN) and under the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development Luxembourg, is proudly implemented by the Association for Rural Development Kavrepalanchok from July 2024 to June 2026. The ECRA project aims to enhance community resilience against climate change by promoting sustainable natural resource management, climate-smart agriculture, and disaster risk reduction in Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality. By strengthening local capacities, conserving water sources, and adopting climate-smart practices, we are working towards a resilient future for 460 households across 3 wards, impacting a total of 1840 people.
