So do men, and everyone else 👨🍳 But why do only women feel the heightened stress of household chores, especially during festive seasons like Dashain? 👩🍳 Last week, Happy Minds posted on Instagram highlighting the unequal burden women face during festivals, and it sparked an incredible response—over 700 shares on Instagram with 24k views and counting 🗣 Patriarchy has long dictated that certain tasks are “women’s work,” reinforcing unfair expectations for women to juggle both professional and domestic responsibilities. 🍚 Once a symbol of nourishment, the kitchen becomes a source of stress — not just from the physical labour but from the mental load of planning, organizing, and ensuring everything runs smoothly during these festive times. But does it have to be this way? 🙏 It’s time for change. Men can, and should, take on an equal share of household duties. This workshop provided a vital platform for participants to delve into the importance of prioritizing personal well-being while fostering a spirit of support and connection among participants. Throughout the session, we engaged in an in-depth examination of practical self-care strategies that individuals can seamlessly incorporate into their daily lives. It was truly inspiring to witness how these practices not only enhance personal well-being but also establish a solid foundation for a compassionate community. Sparking mental health conversations at the National HR Conference! 💫 As a well-being advocate, I had the chance to chat about the importance of human connection in a world increasingly dominated by AI. 🤖 🤖 Imagine AI as a robot boss obsessed with perfection and profit, but completely clueless about feelings. We humans, on the other hand, have the superpower to recognize and acknowledge emotions, creating a workplace that's not just efficient but also empathetic. ❤️ Leaders who care about mental health are like superheroes! 🦸♀️ 🦸♀️ They boost morale, inspire creativity, and build a stronger team. By listening, empathizing, and supporting emotional well-being, they turn challenges into opportunities and create a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. 🧘 🧘🏼♀️ During my session, we shared some practical self-care tips for busy professionals. My favourite part was leading a music meditation session.
