Our National Coordinator, Nishant Kumar, recently completed the impactful Theatre-Based Techniques (TBT) training, Act Out for Impact, held from 6th - 11th October, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. He joined youth advocates from across the Asia-Pacific region, united by a mission to explore the powerful role of theatre and drama in social advocacy. It was organized by UNFPA Asia and the Pacific Regional Office, and the facilitators from the National Center for culture and Arts of King Hussein Foundation, Jordan and YPEER AP (YPEER Asia Pacific Center Bangkok). This unique training equipped participants with transformative skills in advocacy through theatre. Through immersive, hands-on sessions, participants explored how storytelling and performance can challenge perceptions, foster empathy, and inspire action to raise awareness on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and other youth issues. Special thanks to all our organizers from UNFPA APRO, facilitators from NCCA and our coordinator, sangeet kayastha Sir from Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center for sharing all the experiences, knowledge and providing training to all the youths from Asia Pacific Region. Together, we youth leaders aim to re-implement the training in our communities and emerge to amplify marginalized voices and promote positive impact in our society and nation. Call for Application to Participate in the Poster Competition- Overcoming Stereotypes: Changing Perspectives on Disabilities Young people from Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan are invited to participate in the "Overcoming Stereotypes" poster competition, aimed at raising awareness about the harmful effects of stereotypes surrounding disabilities. This initiative encourages positive and realistic portrayals of individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity in society.
