I've had the good fortune of attending close to 50 accounting conferences in the last 8 years... Intuit Connect 2024 felt different. In the 2nd edition of the A2X Newsletter, I share my take on Intuit Connect’s themes, vibes, and how they connect to ecommerce accounting and the evolving role of accountants and bookkeepers. We travel to these events — which can be exhausting — because we get so much energy from our community. The hope is that the energy extends far beyond the short time that we’re together. I can only speak for myself, but I feel energized and inspired – ready to hit the ground running when I get home. A lot of insights and feedback from our amazing community of ecommerce accounting experts (old and new). Can’t wait to bring it back to the A2X team. I’m pumped for what we’ll build together! P.S. 🌟 Counting down to the ICB Awards on November 11th! 🌟 I'm thrilled (and a little nostalgic) to be nominated for "Bookkeeper in Industry" this year, especially alongside A2X's nomination for "Bookkeeping Software". This one feels extra special - I can still remember signing up to study with the ICB back in 2008. That was back when "work-from-home" jobs weren't really a thing, and yet, it worked out so well letting me build a career while raising a family. And, just to top it all, I'm delighted to be attending with Denise Gibson MICB PM.Dip, our newest ICB hire at A2X, who last year took home the title of "ICB Student of the Year". 🏅🎉 Looking forward to a whole day of learning, catching up with some incredible bookkeeping friends, and celebrating at the Luca Awards ceremony.
