Reduce emissions and help meet other sustainability targets while maintaining viable business models. We provide low-cost, high-value solutions to combat the climate crisis by converting “waste” products back into energy, offsetting production costs and recovering GHG that would otherwise be emitted. Contact us to learn about a practical model for regenerative, sustainable and local agricultural systems, emissions reductions, and key environmental factors such as sustainable land use. #watersecurity #regenerativeagriculture #climaterestoration #cleanenergy #sustainability
About us
We design and build a Bioresource Recovery Plant that accepts all bioorganic waste and converts this into value. As a circular system, the value created offsets costs and decreased rates from bioenergy sales, fossil-free organic fertiliser sales and claiming carbon credits from emissions reductions from preventing waste from going to landfills. The BRRP helps our customers reach carbon neutrality and zero waste sooner.

BREAKING! MP Munira Wilson has just introduced a PFAS forever chemical bill that would set out legal limits for toxic PFAS in water & ramp up regulation on their production. We've been falling so far behind the EU and US. It's time to catch up!

There is so much 'outside' work to be done in this time of crisis that we sometimes forget that the work we do on the inside, both individually and collectively, is equally important if we are to find our way back to a peaceful way of living. I'm pleased to be part of the Climate Consciousness Summit, a chance to come together to embed ourselves in our embodiment, in earth and in the emergent future. Holding the line on 1.5C is not an aspirational target - it’s a scientific imperative. The Rosebank oil field is not compatible with the 1.5C limit, international climate obligations, or indeed a liveable future. This month, legal cases against Rosebank will be heard in the Scottish Courts - a big opportunity to accelerate the transition away from oil and gas. Should the case be successful, the UK Government will have the opportunity to remake the decision. This is a government that was elected on a mandate to lead the transition to renewable energy - creating jobs, lowering bills, boosting the economy and ensuring a livable future. We must support them in that endeavour. You can support the case here: https://lnkd.in/dgsbYFey

Currently in the last meeting of a week of ISO 207 SC7 plenary meetings and working groups on the individual standards including revision of ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-2, ISO 14067 and development of a new standard ISO 14060 on net zero aligned organisations. Over 40 countries and some 70 liaison organisations involved. A lot of technical discussion and work achieved. Great to work in-person with colleagues that I have known since around 2006.

🌍 Connecting Capital with Climate Solutions – Event Summary [Part 2 of 2] 🌍 We're thrilled to share insights from the second part of our Climate Investing Symposium series! This installment takes a deep dive into two pivotal discussions: 🔹 Investing in Climate Infrastructure: Experts discussed the scale and collaboration needed to fund New Zealand’s low-carbon transition. From renewable energy to energy efficiency, panelists explored how $60 billion in capital could deliver NZ’s energy goals by 2050. Strong governance, customer demand, and innovative financing structures emerged as crucial for investors to move forward with confidence. 🔹 Investing in Nature-based Climate Solutions: Covering forestry, regenerative agriculture, and ecosystem restoration, panelists highlighted the power of nature-based solutions to meet emissions targets and deliver biodiversity, water quality, and economic co-benefits. They underscored the importance of holistic land use and community engagement, with emerging financing models paving the way for increased investment. Thanks to our panelists and partners for their invaluable insights on how capital can drive sustainable change! 🌱 Also a special shout out to our contributors who helped put this blog together Carolyn Brooke Rohan MacMahon Justine Sefton Matthew Jackson 👉 Check out the second part to our blog here: https://lnkd.in/gbn2aSpa #ClimateSolutions #ImpactInvesting #SustainableFinance #NZClimateAction

Tell me about NZ tech you know of that’s driving for a greener future🌍 I’ll start - heres a few examples of how our little island makes the world of difference: MethaneSAT in collaboration with the The University of Auckland, Rocket Lab, and NIWA are on a mission to monitor methane emissions on a global scale from space. At Syft Technologies, our unique technology detects multiple harmful chemicals in real-time. Our systems are used by environmental agencies worldwide to monitor industrial emissions, helping protect communities and the environment. Alimentary Systems has created an impressive waste treatment technology that turns municipal and organic waste into valuable resources. Their facilities produce clean energy while achieving zero emissions - completely transforming how we think about waste management. #NZTech #SyftTechnologies #EnvironmentalMonitoring #CleanAir

Climate scientist focusing on observational climate data, mitigation pathways, and carbon removal. "A tireless chronicler and commentator on all things climate" -NYTimes.
New UNEP emissions gap report highlights a "massive gap between rhetoric and reality" and calls for a "quantum leap" in ambition to deliver Paris goals, as the world is way off-track today. I cover the details over at @CarbonBrief: https://lnkd.in/gPT3nzw7 The report highlights that greenhouse gas emissions reached record levels in 2023, up 1.3% from 2022. It also shows how progress and ambition have “plateaued” in recent years, with relatively little of substance occurring since pledges made at COP26 in 2021. It finds that Current policies put the world on track for 2.9C of warming by 2100 – though this could be reduced to 2.4-2.6C, if all existing NDCs are met. This is a notable increase from the 2.7C current policy outcome in the prior 2023 report: This represents a bit of divergence from other estimates in the literature. Back in 2022 the three most prominent estimates agreed with a best estimate of ~2.6C to 2.7C warming under current policies. Today IEA is down to 2.4C and UNEP is up to 2.9C, a 0.5C gap. While the magnitude of the challenge is “indisputable”, there are “abundant opportunities for accelerating mitigation”, the report says. It finds that global emissions could be cut by 54% by 2030 and 72% by 2035 at a cost of less than $200 per tonne of CO2. This indicates that the gap between commitments and current policies is a result of a lack of policy support rather than more fundamental barriers to decarbonisation: https://lnkd.in/gB6xn4uW

Campaigner and Author | Bringing down the forces of evil; reinforcing the power of Sustainability | Co-Founder of Forum for the Future
I could have wept when a good friend of mine suggested a few days ago that world leaders just weren't focused on climate change because we didn't have enough of “a burning platform” to hold their attention. And then added: “If you see what I mean”. Well, yes I do. Hence our world being quite literally on fire. Please have a look at the revised Report I've just co-authored, “Exodus Equator: One Billion On The Move”. It won't cheer you up, but it will reinforce your determination to distinguish between a world literally on fire and often spurious burning platforms that keep our politicians so dangerously distracted. https://lnkd.in/dimiYHFb
