On Tuesday we held our annual Clarkson Group of Companies business update conference and awards evening. We had 50 leaders from Clarksons, Cowley Refrigeration Limited and Petroleum Solutions Ltd attend from all across the motu. Grant Elliott a.k.a the Hairy Jav was our guest speaker and shared some interesting sporting principals and behaviours that easily transfer across into business. At our awards evening we celebrated 10 year milestones for two of our Clarksons Wellington team - Phil Dobbin and Dave Flowerdew. The Terry Clarkson Award for Operational Excellence went to Clarksons Hamilton this year for a hugely successful 2023 filled with exemplary safety behaviours, a steady and organised team and good organic growth across their region. Congratulations to all on their achievements throughout the past year. It is critically important in business to reflect and celebrate the positives whilst not losing sight of moving forward - the future is bright!

🏁 Project Completion: Caltex Savoy to Waitomo Savoy, Invercargill 🏁 We are thrilled to share the successful completion of the rebranding and upgrade project at Savoy in Invercargill, where we transformed the site from Caltex to Waitomo in just 3 weeks! 🚀 This project involved a comprehensive changeover, including the installation of all new signage, fuel dispensers, OPTs, and an Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) system. As the main contractor, PSL 24 took charge of the fuels component and site works, ensuring a seamless transition. A special shoutout to Clarksons Electrical for their exceptional work on the electrical systems, commissioning, and TMU. We also extend our thanks to all other sub-trades involved in bringing this project to life. We are incredibly proud to announce that our Electrical Apprentice, Jackson Pool from our Tauranga Branch, has been cast as ”Javert” one of the lead roles in the upcoming stage production of Les Misérables at Baycourt Tauranga, Tauranga’s largest theatre. The show runs 11th - 28th September and you can tune in to the The Breeze FM at 8am on Monday, 2nd of September to hear a radio interview with Jackson. Clarksons will be sponsoring Jackson personally, as each year over 200 dedicated volunteers enable Baycourt to produce award-winning shows. With the significant support of other sponsors, the community, the Massey Rugby Club and the families of the kids, we have been able to take 99 kids to Japan (Biggest trip ever!). We hope that the trip builds and strengthens ties with Japan, while also showing our kiwi kids a bigger and brighter world. The Clarkson’s travelled abroad, on signing a new distribution agreement with Kärcher. Terry Clarkson and David Clarkson recently travelled to visit another amazing family business Kärcher! They visited the head office and main car wash factory in Stuttgart, Germany. They were shown the latest developments, technologies and gadgets to support their NZ distributorship! Special thanks to Kere McBratney the Karcher NZ, Managing Director for arranging the trip and hosting our special father and son team, with the other delegates from NZ.
