Here’s what you need to know to keep your furniture looking great: ☕ Water Stains and Rings: Cold or hot drinks can leave white marks on wooden surfaces. Quick fix? Try using a warm iron and a cloth to remove them, but better yet, use coasters and placemats to prevent damage. 🪓Cracking and Splitting: Prolonged moisture can seep into the wood, causing cracks in the finish. For high-moisture environments, opt for two-pot polyurethane finishes for superior protection. 🔄 Bending and Bowing: Humidity imbalance can cause timber to warp. At Coastwood, we dry all our timber to 12-15% moisture content to reduce the risk, but a balanced home environment is key.
