It's been another busy week for the team. We've commissioned a new Eltek – a brand of Delta MultiSite Monitor instance, completed factory acceptance testing of a new hybrid solution from Remote Energy Pty Ltd based around Polarium smart Lithium battery energy storage, finished an API to automate remote signal strength calculations in Aviat Networks Aprisa SCADA radio networks and done some on-site training for VHF installation and site grounding.

We completed signal testing for a new Aviat Networks Aprisa SR+ base station this week. The images below show the predicted signal level from our desktop coverage map and the measured signal from the installed radio. The radio is humming along nicely at 256QAM (160kbps in a 25kHz channel). Having a mature and accurate planning output that you can easily overlay on asset footprints and reference post install is a vital part of baselining network performance.

Just a bit of cable tidy up to finish before a workshop tomorrow with a customer who is looking for a solution to remove the requirement for an on site ATS. This 8kW system is set up for independent, isolated feeds from mains and a genset with start/stop controlled by configurable battery SOC. Our calibrated load is busy running the battery down a bit so we can demonstrate the full functionality. Using an Eltek – a brand of Delta powercore with Polarium smart lithium batteries provides a robust and scalable solution. Looking forward to a great session tomorrow!

We're all set up for the EEA2024 Conference and Technology Exhibition at the Te Pae exhibition hall in Christchurch. We are saying goodbye to our Riverbank Road office this month. It's a strange feeling seeing it so empty! There has been great memories with some great people created inside these walls, but we needed somewhere that would accomodate our growing team and provide space to work on extending our integrated solution offerings. We look forward to sharing information on the "new" location once we are settled in.

A quick trip to complete field surveys on sites for a hydrology network upgrade using our Aviat Networks SR+ access field kits. The team use a portable base and remote kit, with a power supply, mast and antenna in each kit. These surveys are typically used to validate sites identified as sitting in fringe coverage levels during desktop analysis.
