Day 1 at The New Zealand Agricultural Show in Ōtautahi We had a lot of fun showcasing the best of European food and beverages at our Enjoy Its from Europe booth today. 😋 Our Ambassador Lawrence Meredith welcomed many visitors, introducing them to some delicious Geographical Indication (GI) delights for the first time. GI products mean you're getting authentic, high-quality food and beverages with unique characteristics from specific regions in Europe. Chef Ben Devlin from the Good Food Group impressed everyone with his ‘squeaky’ haloumi, a tasty cheese made from goat’s and sheep’s milk, originating from Cyprus. 🧀 If you’re heading to The Show tomorrow come visit us and taste the difference! 👋 #EnjoyItsfromEurope #Geographicalindications #EUNZFTA

Cities are at the heart of the journey toward a sustainable future. As major contributors to climate change, cities also hold the power to drive solutions for climate resilience. 🌍 The EU’s International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC) project fosters global partnerships for sustainable urban development. In Aotearoa New Zealand, Christchurch, Nelson/Wakatū, and New Plymouth join this worldwide cooperation effort, working with cities around the globe to exchange knowledge, best practice and “what works”. 🤝 Through EU-funded study visits and virtual exchanges, we’re building a greener future together! 🌱 #SustainableCities #EUGreenDeal #IURC #EUinNZ #ClimateAction European Evaluation Society (EES) | Christchurch City Council | Nelson City Council | New Plymouth District Council

Great #HorizonEurope event in Hamilton! Thanks to The University of Waikato for the great hosting. It was fantastic to hear from Scion about their successful collaboration with EU partners on a #HorizonEurope project focused on sustainable biomaterials. 🌿 #HorizonEurope provides an invaluable opportunity to connect with a wide network of stakeholders across the 27 EU Member States, as well as in the Pacific, Asia and beyond. The programme is also very relevant for Māori research. 🤝 #EUinNZ #Innovation #Research #Sustainability #MāoriResearch EURAXESS Australia & New Zealand | MBIE Science and Innovation | Lawrence Meredith | Diane Lacoste Chevalier | Mary Mulholland | Rachel Taylor | Nancy November | Stephen MacDonell | John Cater | Iain White | Cecile de Klein | Andrew Sporle | Simon Lovatt | Cath Battersby
