At Fisher Funds, we’re on a mission to help our clients realise their ambitions through our investment expertise, 25 years of experience, and range of investment options. As part of this journey, we’re showcasing the range of ambitions some of our clients have. Introducing: Ambition Stories. A series of videos that bring to life some of our amazing client ambitions from rockets, to fashion, running and more. First up, ‘Ambition is soaring’. Jamie is a now 11-year old rocketry enthusiast whose ambition is to work at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) or NASA building a Mars rover or rocket engines. He started watching YouTube videos about rockets, which developed into a passion. That passion pulled in Dad and Grandad, and this intergenerational team now builds rockets out of their home garage. Watch Jamie’s Ambition Story here: https://lnkd.in/gwAczFEp And remember, whatever your ambition, Fisher Funds can help you get there.

Congratulations to the World of WearableArt® 2024 Fisher Funds New Zealand Design Award winner, The Red Thread by Ian Bernhard, New Zealand. We’re thrilled to continue celebrating amazing Kiwi designers like Ian who strive every day to reach their ambitions. Ian was inspired by East Asian folklore, in which the gods tie the red thread to the little fingers of two souls, connecting them and linking them. This thread may tangle and twist, but will never break. Check out Ian’s winning garment in the video!

Making a KiwiSaver withdrawal to get into your first home is key for many of us. Our GM KiwiSaver David Boyle provides some thoughts to Susan Edmunds on how to get back on track with retirement savings once you are in your new abode. 🏡
It's hard to believe that the average age of first home buyers is now 35! Not surprising though given the deposit required and how priorities and lifestyles lead to getting into your first home later in life. It's really just the new normal I guess, but how does this impact your retirement outcomes if you are using your KiwiSaver as part of your deposit. Susan Edmunds asked be just that question and what Kiwis need to do to get back on track. Check out my thoughts and others here. https://lnkd.in/gueyAGzw
Is it harder to buy a house once you're 40?

Fisher Funds CEO, Simon Power, provides his thoughts for the Mood of the Boardroom 2024. For 22 years, the Mood of the Boardroom has provided meaningful insights from business leaders to Government. New Zealand Media & Entertainment (NZME)’s Fran O'Sullivan and her team once again facilitated an excellent discussion at yesterday’s event. Fisher Funds is proud to support the report and our CEO Simon Power gave a vote of thanks to Finance Minister Hon Nicola Willis and Labour’s finance spokesperson Hon Barbara Edmonds for an excellent debate. As part of his contribution to the report, Simon elaborated on why he thinks now is the right time to be discussing long-term retirement funding and you can read more via the link in comments.

Fisher Funds reposted this
In an episode released today, Fisher Funds CEO Simon Power spoke to Liam Dann on the fabulous New Zealand Media & Entertainment (NZME) podcast 'Money Talks'. This is a great series where well-known New Zealanders talk about money, and share stories about the impact it's had on their lives and how it has shaped them. This conversation traverses Simon's career starting as a shelf stacker at New World, to lawyer, politician and now in the finance industry. Plus why his biggest indulgence was a trip to overseas libraries and why he can't face tinned spaghetti. https://lnkd.in/g4HddauG https://lnkd.in/gXgjSzA3
