    A devastating blow to New Zealand’s customer facing industries! I cited the current market conditions last week when talking about upselling in hospitality. Seeing one of the greats if not THE GREAT New Zealand retail store to shut their doors is heartbreaking and a strong warning to all those other businesses: hospitality, retail and otherwise customer/guest facing.     With the economy in the dumps, discretionary spend is down significantly and hotels and restaurants suffer the most from this. Which means that every table and guest just becomes that much more important. Taking an hour out of your day to discuss upselling with your team might pay back in speights!!
