Mathew’s career in HR began with a passion for organisational behaviour and supporting people to have meaningful conversations. Starting in operations-focused roles, he has built a deep understanding of HR’s impact on business. In his current position with Trustees Executors, Mathew is committed to fostering inclusive environments that support organisational and community wellbeing, working closely with the CFO, Stuart McLaren, who is a mentor on business strategy and governance. His dedication to professional development is evident in his pursuit of Chartered Member status, and he has a particular interest in the intersection of HR and emerging technologies, such as AI, to drive innovation while ensuring psychological safety for employees.     HRNZ would like to congratulate Morgan Kibble on becoming an Accredited Professional Member of HRNZ! Morgan’s journey into HR began unexpectedly during her Bachelor of Commerce studies, when she discovered her passion for the field. After graduating with a degree in Human Resources and Commercial Law, she joined Wheako Pōneke Experience Wellington as a People & Culture Coordinator and quickly advanced to the role of People & Culture Advisor. Morgan takes pride in her rapid growth within the organisation, particularly as a young wahine Māori in a senior HR position. She values the opportunity to work in a people-centric role that bridges business, law, and creativity, and she remains committed to continuous learning and supporting others in their HR journeys.     HRNZ would like to congratulate Neeru Choudhary on becoming an Academic Chartered Member of HRNZ! Neeru’s interest in the field of HR ignited during her MBA in 2002, and it has only grown stronger since she began teaching HR-related courses and conducting research in 2005. Today, she serves as the Principal Academic Staff Member and Degree Leader for the Bachelor of Business programme at Open Polytechnic, where she draws on her MBA in Human Resource Management and Ph.D. in Management to shape the next generation of HR professionals. Achieving Chartered Member (CMHRNZ - Academic) status is a significant milestone in Neeru’s career. This recognition reflects her commitment to aligning her academic work with industry needs in New Zealand, a focus she embraced after transitioning to Aotearoa in 2017. Moving forward, she is excited to continue bridging the gap between industry and academia by collaborating with HR professionals and contributing to the HRNZ Wellington Branch.     HRNZ wishes to congratulate Gillian Brookes on becoming a Chartered Fellow of HRNZ! Gillian's career is a testament to her commitment to people and the future of work. Initially trained as an economist, she pivoted to focus on what she truly cares about: driving positive change for individuals and organisations alike. Her passion for flexible work saw her become a flexible work specialist in 2019, just before the pandemic brought this critical topic into the spotlight. Since then, Gillian has made waves, notably with the release of her book Flexperts and the launch of her online course, both significant milestones in her career. Gillian’s recent achievement of becoming a Chartered Fellow reflects her deep dedication to HR, offering her an opportunity to reflect on her incredible journey.
