The Mood of the Sales Leader Report is now live! On Thursday, our very own Sindy Ward presented the latest People & Recruitment insights from the MOTSL report at the launch event. A huge thank you to the 600+ sale leaders and professionals across NZ and Aus who contributed to the survey. Your invaluable insights helped shape the unique perspective on market trends for the year ahead. We are proud to have partnered with Indicator, Bank of New Zealand, Mint Design New Zealand, and Insights Exchange to bring the eighth edition of the report to market. Some key takeaways from the report: - State of the economy was highlighted as one of the biggest challenges in 2024. The trends are showing that talent retention is going to be increasingly challenging – Only 39% of Salespeople plan to stay with their current employer in 2025, a significant drop from 57% last year. - Remuneration is front and centre – With rising costs and slower salary growth, financial incentives are now a key motivator for Salespeople. - 40% of companies plan to grow their sales teams in 2025, but with fewer Salespeople hitting targets, the pressure is on for leaders to support and develop their teams effectively. Want to discuss these insights further, or get your hands on the full report? - Connect with our Sales & Marketing team below Sindy Ward | Erin Donkin | Jessica Walker | Bethany Taplin | Rose Buffalo-Snell | Daniel Pinto

Supporting Kiwi Expat Talent to Return Home A huge congratulations to Jonathan Baker, on his recent appointment as Financial Controller at Halter, a high-growth SaaS business and a true New Zealand success story, revolutionising farm management, combining sophisticated hardware and software to enable more sustainable and cost-efficient practices. We proactively marketed Jono’s profile to key clients within the Hunter Campbell network before he even landed back on Kiwi soil. After working overseas for the last 3.5 years Jonathan's strong background in senior finance roles and personality aligned perfectly with Halter’s fast paced culture and vision, making this an ideal match. This placement is a fantastic example of New Zealand businesses embracing exceptional Kiwi talent returning from the UK. Congratulations again to Jono and the team at Halter – we’re excited to see the impact you’ll make together!

Hunter Campbell would like to congratulate Scott Gordon on his recent appointment as the Chief Financial Officer at A S Wilcox and Sons Ltd. A S Wilcox & Sons is a proudly family-owned and operated New Zealand business with a rich history spanning over 70 years in the horticultural industry. Specializing in the production and supply of fresh vegetables, they are committed to delivering high-quality produce to New Zealanders, as well as to international markets, while maintaining strong values of respect, high performance, and growth. In the role of Chief Financial Officer, Scott will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company including managing financial risk and ensuring the overall financial health of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, he will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial future, ensuring alignment with the business goals and operational excellence. He has a strong background in financial management, planning, and reporting. Scott has also demonstrated expertise in operational performance management and strategic planning, which are crucial for overseeing financial operations in complex business environments. We wish Scott all the best in the new role and would like to thank the team at AS Wilcox & Sons, with special thanks to Emma Lees, for engaging Hunter Campbell with this search.
