Introducing Kinross Adventure Wine Take your favourite Pinot, to your favourite places! In line with our commitment to sustainability, we’re excited to join the global wave of premium cask wine. Our Adventure Wine reduces carbon emissions by approximately 30% compared to glass bottles, is fully compostable, and stays fresh for up to four weeks after opening. Light, portable, and durable, it’s the ideal companion for any adventure! For our debut release, we’ve selected a beautiful Bannockburn Single Vineyard Pinot Noir. Handpicked and aged 11 months in French Oak, this wine features vibrant notes of violet, cherry, and blackberry, with a dark cherry palate and smooth, velvety tannins. Perfumed. Vibrant. Vital. Perfect for Hikers, Boaters, Helicopter riders and more. Please reach out with any trade enquiries. Thank you Sophie Piearcey for the stunning images.

It's that special time of year again... our annual Kinross Harvest Celebration. This is when we down tools for a moment and celebrate the end of another growing season. It's now that our viticulturists pass the baton to our winemakers (and take a long nap), knowing they have done their to best to navigate the challenges Mother Nature has thrown at them over the year and place their trusts in the team to guide the fruit to its purist liquid state, reflective of the season. We asked Gary Crabbe, vineyard manager at Kinross, what stood out about this year... "2024, in some respects, was an extremely challenging vintage due to the most severe drought in the past 30 years. For the first time in ages, the vines needed continuous watering and attention to avoid becoming stressed. Fortunately, we had the best flowering I can remember (only five days as opposed to the standard two weeks), resulting in large bunches and crops. Careful attention to crop loads was required to assist with ripening, especially given the dry conditions. For Gibbston and Kinross, it was a bumper year with lovely, clean bunches. We picked the Pinot Noir earlier than ever before and could hang the balance of the fruit for an extended period to concentrate on flavours." Kinross is so thankful for Gary and our wider team for their thoughtful, sustainable care. Their efforts, and those of the whole Central Otago wine community, deserves to be celebrated, with wine, food and good company! So, please come join us for some of these fantastic events, we've had two sellout events so far, and there is lots of fun left to go!   If you're into Central Otago Pinot, you're in the right place. A HUGE milestone for Gibbston today, as our small sub region has been granted International Dark Sky Park Status. This is granted by the International Dark Sky Places Program which recognises and protects areas around the world to preserve and protect the nighttime environment and heritage of our dark skies. Well done to the Gibbston Community Association for your hard work on achieving this! We knew our skies were special and it seems the world agrees ✨✨✨ #darkskypark #internationaldarkskypark #gibbstondarkskypark

Our team enjoyed a fantastic day out on Monday afternoon for the annual Vinpro Christmas Golf Tournament at Cromwell Golf Course. Our team of Thomas Moschetta, Conor O’Boyle, Caera Morton and Wild Irishman’s Brian Shaw were thrilled to take out first place! It was a great chance to catch up with some locals and thank Jody and his team at Vinpro for all their help this year. #golf #kinross #vinpro #centralotago #wildirishmanwines #pinotnoirnz
