As biofilm wastewater treatment becomes more common, effective data management is crucial. Lutra’s engineering and Infrastructure Data team have developed an Advanced Process Module that compiles extensive plant data into batch reports and dashboards, simplifying the operation and optimization of biofilm treatment. Watch the video below to see Louis Ortenzio, P.E., demonstrate the module in action. #biofilm #processoptimisation #mabr #mbbr #tricklingfilters #wateranalytics

This is Lutra's MBBR pilot on its fourth adventure at the Palmerston North WWTP. It might be its last as it's not as shiny as it used to be. Well, to be honest it was never very pretty to begin with. We have a few different media types we are going to test, a new carbon source to work with, and a few different challenge tests we will execute. Should be fun and stay tuned for progress updates.

Newly released Drinking Water Sampling Data Guidelines published by the Smart Water Infrastructure Group are now available online: https://lnkd.in/gNKuWtvM. The safety and quality of municipal drinking water are paramount, and ensuring this involves the coordinated efforts of various stakeholders: Samplers, Laboratories, Drinking Water Suppliers, and Regulators. These guidelines provide a comprehensive framework to ensure that water quality data is consistent, traceable, replicable, and defensible, meeting the requirements of the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules (DWQAR). Development of this guide, has been a pro-bono effort, with an impressive number of collaborators. Special thanks to Andy Gaul and Michael Howden for championing the work, and the many collaborators Abi Croutear-Foy, David Pinkney, David Wyllie, Mark Homenuke, Nicolette Voskuilen, Quentin Griffiths, @Rob Deacon, Robyn Abernethy, Sundra R. Tatiparthi, P.h.D for contributing time and expertise. Lutra's engineering team have been working closely with the Infrastructure Data team to put together some Advanced Process Modules, which collate a huge range of data from your plants into batch reports and dashboards that can be used to makes operating and optimising your treatment easier. In the video below Louis Ortenzio, P.E. shows the Activated Sludge Module in action: #wastewatertreatment #activatedsludge #wateranalytics #processoptimisation

Did you know that ID now has a native connection with Harvest Electronics weather data and can use this data to help predict and improve your plant's performance. Find out more in this short video.

Unlocking insights from water quality data depends on the integrity of data itself. Getting this right, requires co-operation of multiple stakeholders; Samplers, Laboratories, Drinking Water Suppliers, and Regulators. Soon to be released guidelines from the Water New Zealand Smart Water Infrastructure group (SIG) (https://lnkd.in/gp7VmN3g) provide a framework to ensure data is consistent, traceable, replicable, and defensible and meets requirements of the Taumata Arowai Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules. Join Andy Gaul of Connexis , as he hosts subject matter experts Quentin Griffiths of Lutra, Mark Homenuke of WaterOutlook, Robyn Abernethy of Watercare Services Limited and Noah Hensley of Taumata Arowai, discussing where things can go wrong, as well as how to fix them. Did you know that Infrastructure Data is integrated HALO Systems by Tag IT and so can use data collected from their nodes for help with consent monitoring and DWQAR rules, see the video for more.
