Grateful for the chance to present our ‘biotechnology driving tangible change’ at the ClimateTech Summit Aotearoa in Wellington yesterday. What a great way to showcase our work over the past 12 weeks as part of the Climate Response Accelerator we’ve been on with Creative HQ. Wonderful to share the stage with our friends in the Accelerator: Tama Toki, Kushla Okano, Tom Hallam, Michelle Barry, Jade Chia, Jessie Stanley, Leonardo da Silva Gomes, Nelson Harper, Caleb Payne, Ira Bailey, Kris Sebro and David Kyle, and celebrate with them into the evening. Along with Aotea Energy and Good Grub Agritech we came away with the sustainable ‘golden drink bottle’ and offered a $50,000 investment deal from Lachlan Nixon at Motion Capital to support our future work. Huge thanks to the team at Creative HQ for all your support throughout, especially Colm Kearney, Holly Beals and Joe Slater for leading the programme. Incredibly lucky to have Brett Holland as our coach throughout the process, and mentors Jesse Keith, Andrew Dentice and Amos Palfreyman giving us invaluable advice and guidance along the way. It takes a collective to solve the challenges we all face with food waste and its effects on climate, and grateful for the support of our now wider network to help us make that happen. And thanks to Motion Capital, Whakatupu Aotearoa Foundation, WellingtonNZ Ballance Agri-Nutrients Ltd and Callaghan Innovation for the programme and staging such a successful event. #biotech #cleantech #climatetech #foodtech #wellingtonnz #creativehq 🍄

Mara Bio appearing as one of ‘Hawkeʻs Bayʻs mystery businesses’ in Bay Buzz magazine's Summer Issue. Great opportunity to sit down with Simon Shattky to explain how we've developed a process using fermentation and a circular approach to create versatile, protein-rich, nutritionally-complete ingredients right here in Hastings. https://lnkd.in/gUnTAeVn
