The Pasifika Strategy Steering Group had it’s inagural meeting last Wednesday in Tamaki Makauru! Expertly led by Saveatama Eroni Clarke, it was an honour and privilege to be in the room as the secretary for the group. This group was established to be the operational steering group for the NZR Pasifika Strategy 2024-2029! Some thoughtful discussions and questions raised for the work and outcomes. Excited and honoured to continue working on this important work, as a Pasifika female in rugby. 🏉 🌸#forthecommunity New Zealand Rugby

Our thoughts are with the whānau and loved ones of Norm Hewitt (Ngāti Kahungunu), All Black #938 who passed away yesterday. Norm played 23 Matches for the All Blacks over five years, and was in the Māori All Blacks squad for over a decade. He is remembered for being dynamic and uncompromising on the field, and gracious with his time off of it. 🖤 Paiahaha Paiahaha Hikohiko te uira Papa te whatatiri Rū ana te whēnua e Haere atu ra E te rangatira Norm Hewitt E te toa o te papa whutupōro Te Mūrau a te tini, Te Wenerau a te mano.
