  • Feeling overwhelmed by ad-hoc training requests? Struggling to piece everything together into something cohesive? Let’s shift from 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰. From role inductions to product knowledge, customer service, and system rollouts, a well-designed Framework keeps learning structured, scalable, and effective. 📈📚 A Framework gives you: • a sense of order, knowing that everything has its place and everything is integrated • an agreed visual map as the basis for further stakeholder discussion and agreements • clarity and agreement on the priorities and quick wins • an easy way to identify which components need to be reviewed, modified or developed • a roadmap towards the overall solution allowing you to plan resources, budgets and timeframes • a constant reminder of the bigger picture (your ongoing point of reference) to keep you thinking strategically rather than being reactionary • a sense of calm, knowing that it’s all in control. With the right framework in place, you’ll swap stress for structure, and finally feel in control. Ready to shift from reactive to strategic? Let’s be honest—some eLearning courses look just like every other one out there. If your Rise modules are feeling a bit… same-y, you’re not alone. 📦 Default layouts. 🖼️ Basic stock imagery. 👔 That "corporate template" feel. Sure, the content is solid, but are learners actually engaged? Great instructional design deserves great visual design. That’s where custom-designed Rise templates come in—elevating your courses with: 🌟 Unique layouts that break the mould. 🎨 Branding that actually feels like your company. 🎆 Graphics that make content pop (instead of blending into the background). If your team creates Rise courses but lacks the time or design expertise to make them stand out, let’s chat. We can craft bespoke templates that will transform your learning—without adding extra work to your plate. Email us at hello@optimism.co.nz if you're keen to see what's possible! 🚀

  • 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵? Safety training can often just be about ticking boxes, sitting through presentations, signing that procedures have been read, and moving on. But does that actually 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯? Health and safety induction often falls short because: 🔹 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 —sitting through PowerPoints doesn’t prepare them for the real work 🔹 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰 —different teams have different jobs, all with related risks 🔹 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗼𝗳𝗳 —training happens once at induction, but habits are built (or broken) on the job. The most effective safety programs don’t just deliver information; they 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 by making training practical, relevant, and continuous. 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴—hands-on simulations, scenario-based learning, and on-the-job coaching. Are you training workers just to pass audits, or are you equipping them to make safer decisions in the field? When you want your team to proactively think and act safely every day, talk to us. optimism.co.nz/hs&w #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyTraining #SafetyCulture #LearningSolutions

Great insights on the difference between content and true learning design. If you're looking for learning that drives real change, let's talk. 💬 #eLearning #LearningDesign #OptimismLearning

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴? I first wrote an article with this title in 2008. But that same challenge is still relevant today. Just because content gets “put online”, that doesn’t mean it’s learning or even eLearning. With the tools available today, it’s very easy to be a “content developer” using an authoring tool such as Rise. But often the result is no different to someone having to read a PDF and answer a few questions at the end. Although if it’s hosted by an LMS, you get to see how many “completions” there are. But what is a completion? Anyone who gets to the end and answers the questions? If so, it’s just another tick-box exercise. There’s a huge difference between “content” and “learning”. Have you ever read a book with great new ideas, but then you didn’t execute or implement, and likely forgot most of what you read? Maybe you felt more educated at the time, but nothing actually changed. If your people aren’t making the changes you want after they did the eLearning, don’t blame the people. Design the learning to get the results you need. It’s more efficient and more effective. If you want a hand, talk to us at Optimism.co.nz PS. I know well-designed learning / training doesn’t resolve everything. There are still motivational and organisational aspects that need to be considered to avoid undermining learning effectiveness. #eLearning #LearningImpact #EmployeeDevelopment
