About us
Business Advisory Helping business owners to "improve the business inside their business" is the aim of the Rise Advisory Business Growth Programme. This company has been developed over time to help small business leaders understand and respond to common causes for concern including new legislation and regulatory changes, staffing issues, rapid advances in communications and media, shifts in market expectations, climate change, and global competition. Utilising the combined strength of experienced Advisors and specially designed Programmes we provide on-the-job guidance which systematically moves a business owner's abilities up in achievable levels. Whilst the majority of our clients are small businesses that have been in business for 2-10 years, the Programme also works with more established businesses helping them to carry out due diligence and look at planned growth and maximised profit. Our approach is consultative in that we fit the Programme to the needs of the individual business owner and seek reports and feedback regularly to ensure the process is working for the client, and that they are comfortable. We also use NLP (neuro linguistic programming) which is a proven technique in leadership development which results in self-monitored and self-directed behaviour change.

Taking care of business: Are you ready for the journey Interest rates are down, and we’re nearing the end of 2024. It’s this time of year when we Kiwis start turning our minds to how next year is going to be better because our focus will be on growth, sales, or managing operations. The reality is little will change if we do not give thought to the road ahead, and that starts with our skills, structure, and plans. In my book The Business Mechanic, I speak about how "roadworthiness" is crucial in business. Understanding whether your business is equipped for the future starts with introspection. Do you have the skills to lead, the right team to execute, and a clear destination? Taking stock involves checking five key components: 1. You - the driver: Are you prepared to navigate your business through challenges? 2. Driver's license: Do you have the right skills and experience to manage the complexities of your business? 3. The vehicle: Is your business set up to meet your goals? 4. Roadmap: Have you planned how to get to your destination? 5. Dashboard: Do you clearly understand the key metrics driving your business? A business that isn't roadworthy is bound to face breakdowns. But by making sure you’re equipped with the right tools and strategies; you'll have a smoother ride to success. Here are three actionable tips readers can implement right away: 1. Evaluate Your Skills: Identify any gaps in your leadership or management skills. Consider enrolling in a course or seeking mentorship to strengthen areas where you're lacking. Regular upskilling is key to staying competitive. 2. Assess Your Business Structure: Review whether your business setup is fit for your current and future goals. This might involve refining processes, delegating more responsibilities, or even restructuring to ensure long-term sustainability. 3. Create a Roadmap: Develop a clear, step-by-step plan for your business. Set short-term (quarterly) and long-term (1-3 year) goals, ensuring you track progress regularly to stay on course. The journey may not always be smooth, but it will be manageable with the right preparation. Much like driving, business requires regular maintenance, skill upgrades, and a clear sense of direction. 2025 will be the ideal time to take that journey and set up your business for success. Let’s have a no-obligations coffee to discuss how I may be able to help you on your business success journey – make 2025 a year to remember! Book your hour here: https://lnkd.in/gqJYjpYK
