Introducing our latest shark MARVEL: Harry Besley of Round Britain eRIB is a young man who took a 100% electric RIB around the whole UK, breaking records and spreading valuable messages along the way. We got the opportunity to support Harry by providing 2 ULTRAlite suspension seats to make sure he was safe along his journey. This interview explores elements of his journey and touches on what it was like to do it on shark seats. Once again I note new high performance boats about to go on sale WITHOUT whole body shock suspension units beneath the helm seats!! Unless you are going to take the wave impact through your knees by standing up throughout the ride, without suspension units softening the wave impact on your body you are in danger of injury! It’s got nothing to do with the quality of the boat either.. it’s nature and waves hitting you at high speed require a unit that moves with the body to mitigate injury and impact through your body. I’m not saying which suspension units are best either. But whatever performance boat you test out first sit on that suspension unit and seat and see how far the suspension unit moves before you even leave the pontoon.. because if your weight has made it hit it’s farthest ride movement and you’ve not even left the harbour it won’t protect your body and back from wave impact discomfort and danger. We use @Shark suspension units because their ride length is phenomenal and it’s 3 dimensional so your whole body moves back and side in whatever impact resistance need is at each wave impact, but please as customers of fast boats don’t be fooled by the sales hogwash that suspension isn’t needed. And don’t be fooled by statements of porpoising for miles with wave slamming is all part of the fun of the ride! Something isn’t right to have to endure that level of constant ride discomfort Like I’ve said so many times, boat builders build whatever you like but don’t blindly fool customers when you are deliberately putting their health and wellbeing in danger.. and you know it!!
