🎉 Startup Weekend Tāmaki Makaurau was an incredible journey of 54 hours filled with ups and downs, validation, pivots, delicious food, and discovering our passions. Here’s a snapshot of what SWAuckland was about: 70 participants registered, 35 ideas pitched, 11 teams formed, 13 mentors, 2 facilitators, 2 local sponsors, 4 supporters, 3 judges, 13 volunteers and 2 organisers. Just WOW! Well done to all of our teams—you should be incredibly proud of what you achieved! ✨ Special shoutout to the 3 startups that truly impressed the judges by excelling in the judging criteria. You stood out for your innovative ideas, teamwork, and impactful presentations. 🏆 1st Place OldSchool: bridging the generation gap by giving the elderly ways to share wisdom with the next-gen. ⭐️ 2nd Place iSTOP: Supporting drivers of speed-restricted vehicles to make our roads safer. ⭐️ 3rd Place AlcheMe: Promoting science Ed for Rangatahi, leveraging engaging online games. 💜 Special mention TaylorMe: easy access to ethical fashion for the conscious fashionistas. We couldn't be more grateful to all of you for making this weekend unforgettable! Thank you to everyone who was involved. Special shout out to GridAKL, MUV Talks and Lowndes Jordan for making this event happen.
