On Wednesday Tait Communications and Tait Systems NZ helped launch the new Land Mobile Radio network – a new critical communications national radio network to support New Zealand’s emergency services personnel. For us, delivering this 500 site network and the hardware to use it, is about playing our part in the communities we call home. We have a long history of delivering for emergency services – including those in England, America, Brazil, South Africa and Australia. Being part of the New Zealand Government’s three-solution Public Safety Network means providing kiwi emergency services with the modern, resilient and secure radio technology they need to strengthen their critical communications and keep New Zealand communities safe. It also means creating one of the largest P25 multi-agency radio networks in the world. Read the full story here: https://bit.ly/4dDxpdx

Your Critical Communications Partner
About us
Our clients protect communities, power cities, move citizens, harness resources and save lives all over the world. We work with them to create, support and unify the critical communication solutions they depend on to do their jobs. Digital wireless communication forms the central nervous system of everything we do. Around this resilient, robust core we design, develop, manufacture, test, deploy, support and manage innovative communication environments for organizations that have to put their total trust in the systems and people they work with. We’ve worked hard to develop genuine insight into our clients’ worlds, and have pursued engineering, operational and services excellence for more than 40 years. This understanding, and our belief in championing open-standards technology, means we can give our clients the best possible choice and value to achieve the human outcomes they’re driven by. We’re not simply aligned with our clients; we’re devoted to their cause. Tait Communications’ sole dividend receiving shareholder is a charitable trust which shares the company’s operating profits across several donation and investment streams responsible for research and development, regional reinvestment and education. This rare model means clients can rely on Tait Communications to be an independent long-term player in the critical communications industry and to continue to play its role of ‘open-standards champion’.

Tait Communications has a robust inventory system that ensures critical manufacturing components are securely stored in across multiple locations, safeguarding against potential future risks. The change in our inventory management came after a fire in September 2016 (pictured) that severely damaged our Inward Goods Facility, resulting in the loss of over 5,000 components and NZD$15 million in damages. The fire, caused by a burst light bulb in a neighboring building, highlighted the need for better storage practices. Fortunately, no lives were lost in this event. 🔥 Today, with inventory stored more securely in bulk pallets and build-to-order sock kept within the manufacturing facility, we’ve taken significant steps to enhance protection, resilience, and reliability. This strategic shift not only enhances our internal operations but also strengthens our supply chain credibility, providing customers with confidence in our ability to deliver consistently. 📦
