About us

“Would totally recommend 100%, the aroha, support, dedication towards their clients radiating from this roopu (Te Hau Ora Ō Ngāpuhi) is totally amazing. I was down and out in a very dark place, and now with a very grateful and light heart my world is back in the light. Words cannot express how grateful I am.  Nga mihi nui.”

📸 Our Haumanu Whakaohooho (CST) Program in Action This is one of our Haumanu Whakaohooho (Cognitive Stimulation Therapy) programs, an evidence-based, structured approach that can help slow the progression of Mate Wareware (dementia). For 15 weeks, participants met once a week for 2 hours. Te Rōpū Awhiniatia, held in Kamo, was beautifully facilitated by Joan Henare and Angeline Rewiri. The Rōpū have asked to join the next program, which begins on the 23rd of October! #CognitiveStimulationTherapy #MateWarewareSupport #TeRōpūAwhiniatia

Last month on the 26th, Census released iwi data to Te Whata, marking a major step in advancing the Māori Data Governance model. This empowers iwi Māori to tell our own data stories, shaped by our priorities and world views. ❤️🖤 It’s incredible to access a platform created by iwi, for iwi – empowering us to use data in ways that truly reflect our communities. Check out some insightful stats that were released! 🔗 View our Ngāpuhi data here: https://lnkd.in/gn6JS3mU #MāoriData #TeWhata #Ngāpuhi

🏠 Community Housing Provider Symposium | Kirikiriroa Hamilton Earlier last week, our CEO Tia Ashby and Matua Fred joined fellow providers at the Community Housing Provider Symposium to work together on shaping meaningful outcomes for whānau. It was an inspiring two days filled with kōrero on Māori housing policies, sharing experiences, and exploring solutions that ensure our communities voices are heard at the highest levels. Ngā mihi nui to Minister Potaka for his inspiring support of Māori Community Housing Providers and his advocacy for whānau in rural and high-needs communities. A special thank you to Te Matapihi for hosting such a beautiful event filled with learnings, insights, and whakawhanaungatanga! 🧡 #CommunityHousing #MāoriHousing #WhānauFirst #Whakawhanaungatanga #TeMatapihi
