The Gattung Foundation
Philanthropic Fundraising Services
The Gattung Foundation is a registered charity focused on a range of charitable purposes across Aotearoa NZ.
About us
Our foundation was born out of our sisterhood and a shared spirit to enable others. Our hearts lead us to want to give back; to make a difference; to redress inequalities we see around us; and to use our skills and resources to make. real. change. We call it the heart effect because we support causes that touch us deeply, but we believe just as strongly in effectiveness. Put the two together and you can create ripples of change for a stronger Aotearoa New Zealand.

Year 13 kōhine from Papakura High, Manurewa High and Auckland Girls' Grammar attended our recent Pave Your Path at Foodstuffs New Zealand headquarters in Mangere. This programme is delivered in partnership with TupuToa and aims to inspire participants to dream big, think of themselves as more than capable, introduce them to women like themselves who are succeeding in corporate life, as well as show them a large organisation and share some of the possible career paths in that organisation. We also visited the largest distribution centre in Aotearoa, NZ!

It may surprise you to find that in Aotearoa stalking is not a criminal offence. This is despite stalking being a known precursor to murder and reports of criminal harassment (a charge commonly used in instances of stalking in NZ) having more than doubled in the last five years. Meanwhile, countries like the UK, the US and Australia have made it a criminal offence to stalk someone. "NZ's lack of stalking laws is dangerous and outdated" - Leonie Morris, Auckland Coalition for the Safety of Women and Children. Directed by Liv McClymont and produced by Jessica Todd, The Man Outside follows a terrifying, true experience of stalking in Aotearoa. Your support is needed to make The Man Outside, a documentary, as part of Loading Docs: Season 10. Click this link to make a donation: https://lnkd.in/g5iC-g8N
