Happy Pink Shirt Day! #pinkshirtdaynz 👚 Today we started the day with our usual weekly team meeting which we always start with health and safety, and this one we talked a lot about mental health in the trades. I think when we think of health and safety we think physical, but health and safety is mental health too. It was an awesome kōrero, and we talked about ways to reach out, safe places to reach out (in and outside of our organisation), and also how to be a person people can reach out to. 👚 Did you know that recent findings from the NZ Mortality Review Committee on suicide deaths in working age men (25-64 years) identified males in the construction and trade area had the highest suicide rates of any occupational group (6.9%).
