The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Auckland Distribution Centre. In this role, you’ll drive operational excellence, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and safety-oriented services that align with the strategic growth objectives.

Your leadership will be key in optimising processes, managing inventory, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership: Direct the Auckland operations team to enhance safe, efficient, and high-quality warehousing and production operations.
  • Inventory Management: Optimise inventory systems to maximise availability, minimise obsolete stock, and improve returns on working capital.
  • Corporate Responsibility & WHSE: Champion the company values, promoting a zero-harm environment and ensuring compliance with WHSE regulations.
  • Quality Management: Develop and maintain systems that meet customer expectations for quality and delivery, driving policy improvements at a national level.
  • Employee Engagement: Motivate and engage your team to continuously improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics.

What You Bring:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a national or global corporate setting.
  • Extensive experience in warehousing and logistics, including warehouse design and WMS systems.
  • Strong skills in inventory management, particularly with SAP and Distribution Resource Planning (DRP).
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing operations/logistics interfaces.
