Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Offshore Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the successful commissioning and operational readiness of mechanical systems on offshore oil and gas platforms and installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, equipment, and commissioning processes specific to offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for mechanical systems on offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-commissioning checks, functional tests, and performance evaluations of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Collaborate closely with project management, engineering teams, and vendors to facilitate smooth integration and operation of mechanical systems during commissioning phases.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support during mechanical commissioning activities, promptly addressing issues to minimize downtime and delays.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and as-built drawings to accurately document system configurations and operational parameters.
• Participate actively in commissioning reviews, meetings, and progress assessments to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and quality assurance standards throughout the commissioning process.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians involved in mechanical commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical commissioning roles within the offshore oil and gas industry, with exposure to platforms, FPSOs, or subsea installations.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and components used in offshore environments, including rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, and piping.
• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with commissioning procedures, testing protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations applicable to mechanical systems in the oil and gas sector (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with stakeholders.
