We're thrilled to announce our new 'From Sea to Plate' experience, in collaboration with the local fishermen who brings the freshest catch right on our shores. Three times a week now, guests are able to handpick their own local fish, crustaceans and seafood and have it prepared to perfection by our chefs at dinner time at Bait Al Bahr. Shangri-La Muscat, Oman proudly opened its doors on 18 & 19 October for the much-anticipated wedding fair ‘Love Shangri-La: A Muscat Wedding Showcase’, in the presence of H.E. Mohammed Al-Zubair and H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Sunil VA Regional Vice President of Indian Sub-Continent at Oman Air and Mrs. Sajida Al Ghaithi Director of Tourism Marketing from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism - Sultanate of Oman. The showcase featured 35 premier local wedding partners across Oman, including stylists, designers, makeup artists, photographers, videographers, AV suppliers, airlines, and bridal gown specialists. Guests found everything they needed to make their dream wedding a reality this season! We were also honored to welcome 12 top Indian wedding planners to explore the wonders of Muscat and promote Shangri-La Muscat as a luxury wedding destination. With over 1,000 attendees, the event was a resounding success, offering inspiration, exclusive offers, and unforgettable ideas for couples planning their special day. Today, we commemorate Omani Women’s Day, taking a moment to honour the extraordinary journey of women who embody strength, resilience, and significant contributions to our community.

This World Food Day on October 16, Shangri-La Muscat, Oman proudly united with fellow hotels in Muscat for the 6th consecutive year, reaffirming our commitment to the United Nations’ Zero Hunger goal. Together, we raised OMR 7,423—a testament to the power of collaboration. These funds will be used to purchase essential food items for the Oman Food Bank, providing meaningful support to underprivileged families across the Sultanate. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps pave the way toward a future where no one goes to bed hungry. From exploring the 18 renowned diving sites in Bandar Khayran to luxury boat trips, island hopping, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, and encountering whale sharks, Nick has been sharing the wonders of Oman's underwater world. InterDive Friedrichshafen, one of the premier trade fairs for diving, snorkeling, and travel, provides an excellent platform to highlight these unique offerings. Also joining are Ahmed Al Bahri and Sulaiman Al Jahwari from the Ministry of Tourism International Events team, along with Yaqoob Al Wahaibi, General Manager of Extra Divers Oman.
