[#Spain] The RENergetic Project consortium presented a workshop in the city of Lugano, at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, in the framework of the DACH+ Energy Informatics 2024 conference, held on 9, 10 and 11 October. The aim of the DACH+ Energy Informatics conference is to promote research, development and implementation of information and communication technologies in the field of #energy and to facilitate exchange between universities, industry and service providers in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region and neighbouring countries. In this workshop, we present the results of the project, in which Inetum has played a key role. We show the multi-objective, multi-vector optimiser, which is used to manage and optimise energy allocation in multiple energy sectors (such as electricity, heating and mobility) in an efficient and sustainable way. We also presented our developments in the field of EV DR (Electric Vehicle Demand Response, both automatic and manual), as well as the results of our experiments in the area of heat supply and consumption. In addition, we demonstrated the #RENergetic system, together with the implementation of a tool for the configuration of energy communities, using Intraverse (from Inetum). #Inetum was represented by Eduardo Vendrell del Río, PMP, Coordinator of the Project. Our company is involved in the development of new technologies, using artificial intelligence to adapt energy consumption, electric vehicles (EV) and heating to the available supply of renewable energies. We also employ Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality for the configuration and optimisation of energy communities. Furthermore, our consortium is exploring how people can integrate the use of renewable energy into their daily lives. We want to contribute to the reduction of global warming and the optimisation of energy resources. [#Belgium] 🌊 Cleaning Up for the Good of All Our Project Office team from Belgium recently organized a meaningful charity day. They spent the day at the beach, cleaning the dunes and shoreline. "At first glance, the beach looked pristine, but we were shocked to discover just how much litter was hidden beneath the surface. We learned that some of the trash, like tiny plastic pellets from nuclear origins, highlights the importance of confronting polluting industries—an issue the organization Proper Strand Lopers is committed to addressing. The day was eye-opening for all of us. We realized how challenging and slow it is for waste to decompose in nature, deepening our understanding of the human impact on the environment. Interestingly, we were also taught to leave natural waste like seaweed, as it serves a purpose in nature's cycle. The day was not only productive, but also fostered a strong sense of connection within our team.
