Fellow Ramon Magsaysay Awardees PRATEEP UNGSONGTHAM-HATA (1978) and MECHAI VIRAVAIDYA (1994) joined the gathering—showing how Ramon Magsaysay Awardees, through their collective efforts, continue to shape not just Thailand’s future, but the world’s, proving that Greatness of Spirit knows no borders. The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation joins the Jesuit community and many across Asia in mourning the passing of 1994 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Fr. EDUARDO JORGE ANZORENA who dedicated his life to the pursuit of dignified and inclusive cities. Believing that real change begins at the grassroots, he worked closely with communities, fostering collaboration among housing advocates and helping establish the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights, which continues to defend the rights of marginalized communities. Through his research, mentorship, and advocacy, he empowered countless organizations to develop lasting solutions to urban poverty.
