👏 The Love the Philippines Japan Mega Familiarization Tour 2024 was a huge success! During the familiarization tour last October 24-27, 98 Philippine sellers were able to network with 74 Japanese buyers in over 2,400 business-to-business meetings, generating PHP 31,633,449.00 in sales leads! The event was graced by Department of Tourism (DOT) Region VII Regional Director Judy Dela Cruz Gabato, Consul General of the Consul of Japan in Cebu Hideaki Matsuo, PDOT Osaka Tourism Attaché Jerome Diaz, PDOT Tokyo Tourism Attaché Niel Ballesteros, Aboitiz GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation Head of Strategy Ms. Christine Villanueva, and Japan Association of Tour Industries - Cebu President Mr. Naoki Ono. Apart from fostering business connections, the tour allowed Japanese buyers to explore six feature destinations: Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Boracay, Palawan, and Davao.
