I believe we have an opportunity to level up, at scale, the way we approach innovation as an industry. Here’s why... I’ve been at several conferences in the last few months, and I’ve listened to a number of presentations & panel discussions on innovation. And it struck me: nearly everything we’re talking about is internal facing. Internal innovation is important. Improving workflows, streamlining communication, making our team’s lives easier – all good things. And many of these internal initiatives have a cascading effect. They often result in less rework, make it more likely we build on time and on budget, which directly impacts the client. But I think we have opportunities to innovate more directly on our client’s behalf. To look at industry-specific or client-specific needs and to design solutions that surprise and delight them. So, what do I mean by this? 👉 How do we think about our clients' R&D initiatives? What is the interface between that and their buildings? How do we create spaces that evolve to their needs? How do we build something lasting and relevant, from day one to year 50? 👉 Data centers, especially in the age of AI, have huge power needs. How can we innovate to support them? 👉 Healthcare requires a ton of redundancy. How can we create spaces that are more multi-purpose, or that can be adapted quickly in response to public health crises? How do we make this a reality? It means asking a lot more questions. Be curious 🤓 Get "outside the building" to try to understand not just our industry but those of our clients, at a much more detailed level. The physical spaces of our clients have enormous impacts on how they do their work. Imagine what would happen if we were innovating on their behalf.

We're proud to be pushing the boundaries of Digital Delivery and BIM Program Management on the BSVII CP2 project! Our Digital Delivery team has successfully implemented advanced automation techniques to model critical "Track elements" along the 6-mile stretch, addressing interoperability gaps and minimizing rework. Here are just a few highlights of our achievements: 🏗️ We've developed comprehensive 4D BIM models, automated quantity takeoffs, and implemented real-time design progression updates to enhance project understanding and decision-making. 🏗️ Our Digital Delivery team has successfully modeled critical "Track elements" along the 6-mile stretch, addressing interoperability gaps and minimizing rework. 🏗️ We've pioneered efficient BART asset tracking through early Asset Management Data Planning, aiming to achieve a groundbreaking implementation in the digital twin domain. 🏗️ Our team has managed over 3000+ BIM/models on ACC, ensured seamless design collaboration across 52 companies/stakeholders, and resolved over 1020 ACC issues. These achievements wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and expertise of our team. We're proud to be working on this project and look forward to continuing to drive innovation and excellence in Digital Delivery and BIM Program Management.
