Data Analyst

Your Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Utilise advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (Excel, Google Sheets,
• and Tableau) to analyse and interpret intricate data sets.
• Query databases using SQL language to extract relevant data for analysis.
• Support the Lead Analyst with Tableau Prep data flow to ensure accurate
• information availability for analysis.

• Deploy functional solutions and implement system test plans to ensure
• system quality and integrity.
• Identify and evaluate inefficiencies, recommending optimal business
• practices and system functionality.
• Build and maintain reporting systems to track key performance indicators
• (KPIs) and project success.
• Create process and user documentation.
• Design and implement data visualisations and dashboards using Tableau
• for clear and meaningful presentation of information.
• Develop functional specifications for system developers' use.
• Provide support and guidance on data analysis techniques and best
• practices to team members.

Most common Tasks

• Extract data and create reporting dashboards for external clients according
• to a brief (eg. sales metrics for certain products or categories for a
• manufacturer, buyer or supplier)
• Update and maintain dashboards and/or company slide decks to reflect
• the most current data
• Collating and preparing raw data from across databases/systems to ensure
• data integrity and accuracy when processing
• Develop new or adjust existing calculations
• QA and sense check new or existing formulas and calculations for accuracy

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and Tableau Prep.
• Interview process includes a practical case study to assess these skills.
• Strong commercial acumen to translate complex data into actionable
• insights for business growth.
• Proficiency in querying databases using SQL language for data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex
• information clearly.
• Experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and
• driving data initiatives.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
• effectively.
• Self-motivated and accountable with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with the hospitality industry or related field is advantageous
